Brakes are death rogan, take em off.

Use a rubber band round the heal of the pad for toeing in, much easier than trying to hold a card in place.

Something I didn't even notice in the pictures that I really like is the cable routing for the rear derailleur
I thought I was going to get a cable stop at the bottom and bottom of the seatstay, but its actually 2 bosses where the outer cable is tied to the stay, I've never seen it before, I'll have to ask matt what the reasoning was, but its certainly different!

hope V Twin still working well after over 18 months

I suspect it's because if you used a stop, gravity would deliver any road crud and moisture down the now exposed inner directly into the outer.
It also allows you to run a full length outer - I do.

sounds very right, good point
yeah mines exposed on top but from seat tube to derailleur its all covered

It was one of my 'special requests' to Matt to run full length brake and derailleur outer cables. If you use a SRAM MTB mech the transition from cable to mech is very neat, too.

and i know your all dying to know..
it weights 8.8kg
which is more than i was expecting actually

wheels and tyres are 2.5 alone however

It's a cross bike. You could save 400g or so with a crabon frame, but it's never going to be road bike weight. My Dale ali cx frame was pretty much the same weight as the Talbot in 853
