Awesome. Jels.

They're extremely clever - couple of seconds to go from a 2kg dumbbell to a 36kg dumbbell. They're not small, for a 2kg, but that's the price of the cleverness.

Anyone happen to watch the CrossFit games? Seems like a bit of a joke and pretty surprised nobody was seriously injured. If that’s the level of training that you get from anyone of their gyms then count me out!

I recieved some more plates and made a simple plate storage unit last week.
Training wise I’m doing Starting Strength but I added chin/pullups straight away because I really like doing them 😅 (and some bicep/tricep work ‘cause vain...)Edit; Oh, and started making a simple bench at work today. Reclaimed oak top and steel legs.

If anyone is interested, IronMaster gym equipment is pre-order is happening this weekend. This is simply a headsup as they arent on sale for long or often.
They will have dumbbells, kettlebells, benches, and a small selection of bench attachments available for January.
Personally, i think they're great for those interested in long term investment in good home gym equipment and have limited space (like most of us). They're expensive, but as a heavy weights guy, i think they're worth it.

This is brilliant. Very jealous.
We have just gone into tier 4 so gyms close from friday. Any suggestions for a lockdown programme when all I have is a 20kg kettlebell and a pull up bar?
I was thinking something like 5 x 10 pull ups, 3 x 10 air squats, 3 x 10 KB squats and maybe KB clean and press.
Will throw in half a n hour on the turbo the days I dont do the above.
Just pulled that out of thin air so any improvements or suggestions gratefully received.

A few of my favorites with that equipment are:
- One arm row
- Snatches
- Push-ups
- Turkish getups
- Regular kettlebell swings
- Hanging knee raise
I’d also suggest variations of those you suggested, like close grip underhand pull-ups (for more biceps) and wide grip for more lats.
For some structure, try to do one push, one pull and one leg. You can do that in a superset. Then do 1-2 of those and some core work (like one of the last 3 suggestions).
- One arm row

5 x 10 pulls ups are surely harder than 3 x 10 squats and 3 x 10 KB squats?
I've found combining pullups and kettlebells really hard on my forearms and grip strength.
3 x 10 pull ups, 3 x 20 KB squats, 3 x 20 KB swings + clean and presses?
If you have only one weight kettlebell, you'll have to increase sets/reps as you get stronger.

I like burpees, and did 3000 in a month.
Hard work, but impressive strength endurance and fitness gains.
Don't think I got much stronger from it, but 1-3 minute power and anaerobic work got much better. -

All of the above, maybe do some single leg stuff to add imbalance and to make the exercises harder? KB lunges, KB single leg squats etc

Sort of done outfitting my tiny gym now. Testing the bench I build before finishing the steel frame. The top is made from some oak I had lying around from badly water damaged beer benches (?), the frame is from steel square tubing. It comes apart and folds so I can store it under the bed when not in use. Well, when not in use while my girlfriend is staying with me...
Quick breakdown of the equipment: bar and plates are Decathlon except for the 2,5kg and 1,25kg plates. Decathlon doesn’t make those, I found them secondhand. I’ve got just a bit over 160kg at the moment. There’s a dipping belt hanging from the rack for weighted pullups, a couple of jump ropes if I don’t feel like running or cycling and hidden in the pullup rack there is a pulley I use for cable exercises. Made a simple plate holder thingy that clips to the cable. Not in the picture are a TRX clone suspension trainer and some gymnastic rings. I just strap them to the rack when I want to do some bodyweight training.
It’s a very compact multi use setup that didn’t cost the earth because I built a lot myself.

37,5cm between uprights and wall. If you don’t do pullups but do squat it could be 10cm less. Would be a bit claustrophobic though. If you incorporate a doorway I think 25cm would be the minimum to be able to use 45cm plates.
Yeah! What's the update??
