Got some of those resistance tubes with the caribena style handles. Not hefty weights but for a small apartment they are great. Three levels of resistance or use any combo of the three tubes. I know it's pretty lightweight for this thread, just saying if you don't think you have space for weights something like this makes fitness an option. Think it cost me a tenner from TK Maxx! I don't always get to the gym.

Fair point. I like to listen to music when I’m busy. Sometimes it gives inspiration - if I could just get something appropriate.
New Order were ok tonight but just ok. Might give Joy Division a try tomorrow.
Thanks

I'm of your era , these feature heavily in my gym playlist :
Pantera , Soundgarden , Danzig , Metallica ( up to black album ) , Suicidal Tendencies , Guns n Roses , Motörhead , High on Fire , Sepultura , ZZ Top , Black Sabbath , Judas Priest , Melvins , Down , Venom , Megadeth , Celtic Frost
Might not be to your taste but I like Death , Deicide , Bolt Thrower if you fancy some Death Metal .

I have quite a few of those. Death Metal is a bit ‘new’ for me though😀
Motörhead, UFO, Girlschool, Rainbow, AC/DC, Whitesnake are more my era.

This thread has gone decidedly hair spray, bleached denim and sleeveless tshirts

Apologies, my fault entirely.
Hair spray is a long lost dream now

Been doing a lot more yoga this year and feeling that, that might be helping with my lifts. Feel like I’m a bit more ‘in tune’ - is there any logic in that?!
-
• #2086
Good going. Is 140 heavy for you? 5x5 seems a lot.
-
• #2087
Sorry, that’s not clear is it. 5x5 finishing at 140kg and starting at 100kg, going up in 10kg increments
-
• #2088
Fair enough. I did 1x5 at 100 kg last night plus 10 warmups. PB was 135 so heading the right way.
I agree about the yoga - it’s great for everything. I’ve been doing Bikram Yoga for a year - once a week is the best I can do as it is not local. You should try it - Bikram not hot yoga.

I warm-up with grime, but PB to soft-rock: "If you can't lift to Rainbow, you can't lift.".
-
• #2090
Yeah I used to go to Bikram when there was a nearby studio. Mainly ashtanga or vinyasa flow which they have at work.

You are right!

How do you find it without the 40 degree heat? Better, worse or any easier?
-
• #2093
Strangely the denim thread is having a light blue denim moment.

• #2094
Bleached denim or nothing!

Capdown - Civil Disobedients
Amazing. Such a good riding album too.

The come down isn't worth it...

We have been there before, but BCAAs?
Trying to go fairly low carb, especially on non training days, but energy can be an issue.

Yes, yoga is good for body position awareness (or whatever it's called in fancy speak) :)

No double denim tho, there are limits :p

My fashion sense was lost a long time ago 😀
Crystal Methods got some good beats.
