could do with better wheels but no £££ for now. maybe once I get rid of some other stuff...

<3<3<3!! Ellipse are very good wheels (if you can find them on a sweet deal).

• #105
Thuekr, I did....
they are not bad but not the lightest of wheels ...

The DF3 is about aero&stiffness - and when your results can benefit from better wheels, you're granted IO's from your team - in the mean time ride the shit out of them 'lips ;-)

It does look pretty bombroof built up, tidy bit of track ride.

I like the way she looks too ;-)
-
• #109
and she really feels very quick, cant wait to try on the track.

Are the vinyl logos on the DF3 underneath a clear coat or are they easily removable? I like the frame and I'd like something carbon and sprint specific, but that huge downtube logo is so ugly. I'd feel much more confident racing on a bike I like the look of. :)

Decals aren't removable. Just get it painted by No Quarter.

Thanks Rob. Still weighing up carbon frame options. It's not worth buying a new frame and repainting it IMO so I'm back to looking for second hand options. Regretting missing out on that Anchor big time. :(

If you missed my other thread df3 is on sale atm. £700. I think it's a pretty good deal.
In my view its better to get a new one if you want to race it. Used df3 goes around 500 mark so not much of a saving and you are not risking anything.

Just buy a 2nd hand px frame and get it repainted. Should come to about 450 all in

I hope you've sorted saddle angle and put a real sized stem on it since you first posted it. :)

I have my ADR built up now:
My heel does come quite close to the chainstays, but not much more than it did on my Track Champion. A pedal spacer would sort it if I was really worried. Havem't used it yet so will come back with update if anyone is interested.

looks very nice.
I think that the bottom line is that it all depends on the BB / chainset / pedals.
that wasnt my point though. it was that if you use a standard Campagnolo components as I did it just 'wont work'. doesnt mean it wont work for different component. I suspect if I have used dura ace pedals with long (extra long) axel ... but why would I?
on the Dolan I have put all the Campa bits and it goes like a dream!!!
:)
