  • anyone got a spare ticket for beers? ;)

  • if anyone needs a ringer for the wildcard, send me a pm.

  • It might be good to check out www.holidaypirates.com or download the app!

Sometimes there are flights for next to nothing! Might be useful for some ;)

  • Anyone who is playing, you must register here, by September 5th, or you lose your spot:

    http://whbpc2013.com/register/teams/

  • Even if you don't have a third yet ? ;)

  • I'm working on it...

  • Flights booked with BA/AA, it keeps getting cheaper?! 14th to 23rd October.

  • Will you not have to pay $100 on the AA flights?

  • I booked all the flights through BA.

The consensus seems to be that if you book/check-in with BA then there's no problem (this isn't the policy as-written though as BA state they won't be held accountable if partner airlines add extra fees for your luggage).

You're not going to interact with any AA staff till you're on the plane and by then it seems a little late to ask for the bike fee?

I guess it's possible that BA could ask for the bike fee on behalf of AA, but that doesn't seem to be happening at the moment.

  • Big UK air bnb?

  • I remember we booked BA for ladies army and 3 of the flights were AA (so disappointing) but I don't remember if they charged us... I'm assuming not because I'm sure I would have turned on the waterworks... heh

Don't forget to set up a BA executive club account, it's seriously worth it, even for one transatlantic flight, you earn almost enough points for a free return to Europe.

You can claim back points up to three months after you fly.

And once you have points, they never expire, as long as you earn a mile every year.

You can also get your tesco club card points added to it, also really worth it, £250 spent is like 600 miles.

If you are flying AA, out of Heathrow, you'll be in a different terminal, and have to use AA staff. So they might charge you. But, I've flown AA, under a BA ticket a number of times, and never had to pay, just say you've got a BA flight, and they don't charge. The only thing they've ever said to me is that it has to be under 50LB (23kg).

Are you flying direct? If you change, you'll need to pick up your bag, and if you then go onto an AA connecting flight, they might try to charge you there.

  • Good info guys, gonna book my flights in the next few days!

  • Big UK air bnb?

    polo mansion

  • John, if you've got connecting internal flights you don't have to pick up your bag on the way in, you've only got to recheck for international flights? So you might need to pick up your bag and recheck on the way out.

I think that's right, unless they've changed recently, still means they could try to sting you on the way out.

  • Nope, you need your bag on you, in the way in, to clear customs

  • Anyone like me thinking of going (or going) without a team ?

  • i'm going without a team max. I.e. i will 99% not be playing.

And defo up for an air bnb as long as Angelo is sleeping in cambridge. #snore

  • There are lots of NA players looking to be a third, along with quite a few single or double Europeans right now.

Dodi, Lefty Phil, Yorgo, Kropa, Robert & Max

  • Yes max!! And Angelo is having an operation around the same time so can't make

  • NA players looking for a team:

    Leon
    Drewthomas06
    Coach
    meeshellios
    notsochristian
    medic_mike
    evolution revolution
    Mike Polo
    kiki

  • Is that drew and Leon from Seattle? Ex team
    Smile?
