Think it comes with it: http://www.ison-distribution.com/english/product.php?part=HUSPPX25S

CNCs own branded dynamo hubs seem to be made by Shutter Precision:
https://www.cnc-bike.de/index.php?cPath=25_307I e-mailed SP, they said all their hubs are for QR only and adviced against tapping the end caps myself to make it bolt in. :(

Yep, cnc are sp hubs. I got a whole wheel from them for €75, worth checking out!

Good spot, thanks. Unfortunately I need it drilled for 28 spokes, otherwise I have a redundant ENVE rim.

Yeah, not sure why they only do 32/36h... You can get other adaptors, don't know if/how well they work, but it's just a bit of metal right (maybe 'tester or someone could confirm that with some science/numbers/a mildly convincing argument)?

They deffo only do 32 or 36: http://www.sp-dynamo.com/8Xseriesdynamo%20hub.html
Does anyone else make a thru-axle dynamo that is any good?
-
• #758
SON but they also have too many holes.
-
• #759
I need 4 inverse hole shims.

Is there going to be an Exposure Revo Mk2? Should I wait for it if so?

Recommendations for 15mm thru axle dynamo hub? Gonna be used for lights and charging devices. 32h please :)
-
• #762
Last I heard, no. Not enquired recently.

Stick that into Google and choose between disc brake mounting and shell width options.

Came with the SP hub.

Anyone else had a problem with their SP dynamo hub. I've got the PD 8, the disc one. Rode it for all over 200 miles, and then the bike has been sat in the house for months. I've gone to use it and the hub has got exponetially more friction than it had before, feels like its completely seized up and needs regreasing...
Any ideas?

Buy a shimano.

Has anyone used the SP SV-9?
I'm looking to build a lighter front wheel for winter training than using the PV-8. Does the SV-9 generate sufficient power in a 700C wheel to power a front light going at a reasonable speed (20kmph+) or charge a D1?
-
• #768
I'd usually say that but my SP has survived TCR so I've no reason to doubt their durability yet.

SP SV-9
Is that the one meant for BMX or folders or something?
It doesn't matter because your aim of "lighter front wheel for winter training" is all kinds of wrong.
-
• #770
Yeah, it is originally designed for smaller diameter front wheels. But they have a 100mm OLD model.
It is relatively lighter to a front wheel with a PV-8 is what I meant
Digged this up.
https://www.lfgss.com/conversations/159454/?offset=300#comment12879268Seems it works well.

Hub weight is basically irrelevant, winter/training bike weight is totally irrelevant.
Lighting during winter though is important - I would by the most effective hub in power terms (bright lights, GPS charging capacity) and completely ignore any weight specs.
-
• #772
I take your point. Extra resistance / weight for training
Gonna get a wheel someone used for TCR this year then. PV-8 to Archetype 28h
-
• #773
Sounds like a good combo. Most of my recent non-disc wheels have been Archtypes.
-
• #774
Thinking £120 is a reasonable price for the wheel.
-
• #775
Sounds like a bit of a bargain to me.
@Hippy where did you get the thru-axle to QR adapter? I would like to go this route for my new project.
