  • Ha. You win some you lose some.

    Family time takes precedence unfortunately.

  • If it makes you feel better I've been looking for another one for ages. They've been out of stock for yonks. It was a fluke I even noticed it.

On another note: anyone looking to sell disc brake thru axle dynamo?

Looking for an SP or SON 32h TA 6-bolt Shimano CL versions

  • I've got one. You can't have it!

  • Well played :)

I didn't really want one anyway. Dynamo hubs smell!

  • Anyone got a 32h black or silver - not silly amount of miles on it sp dynamo hub? Disc or rim but running it rim.

Also will obvs take son if not silly money

  • there's a SON rim brake version on ebay

  • Managed to pick up a 36H SON delux dynamo hub and wheel off of a local cyclist on fb marketplace for £25 quid! Now need to figure what bike to put it on

  • Cross posting from the Dynamo lights thread - surely worth a merge?

Would anyone like one of these with one of these and one of these

All brand new and boxed for £340?

Broke my bike and need cash for a frame repair - plus Covid killed all my plans

  • Given it is a 110 boost hub you might have more luck on something like singletrack?

  • Broke my bike

What have you done? The Cannondale?

  • Oops. I have the 100mm version :)

@PhilDAS ...All City, and it's worse than it looks.

  • Ouch. Frame broken or just the mech?

  • Both the frame and the mech are bent. It could be worse.

Time to have a replaceable hanger dropout added I think.

  • Yeah I would think the only trouble is finding suitably tall and long dropouts to replace them otherwise your stays are going to be left short when you cut the old ones out.
I could do it at cost price for you if you fancied. I understand wanting to pay for the experience of a professional though.

  • Thanks for the offer, but I'm going to see if it can just be bent back first - I didn't realise the shortening of the chainstay was a thing...nightmare.

  • Yeah the stays are only going to go down as far as here so if you replaced the dropouts they'd need to be longer and taller than the originals or they'd not reach the ends of the stays

  • I'm selling a cheap dynamo wheel here if anyone wants something for decent for commuting etc https://www.lfgss.com/conversations/352565/#comment15474137

  • Looks like those mega cheap (£30) dyno wheels from decathlon have been discontinued.. sad times

  • Am I right in thinking the PL-7 is the new hub for 12mm thru axles and is what I want for my 650B wheelset?

    https://www.sp-dynamo.com/series7.html

I've been running their 8X 15mm with a 12mm adapter sleeve for years but it seems silly to buy another 15mm hub when none of my bikes are 15mm.

  • Still available in 26 but yeah. Looks like the larger ones are gone

  • Is there a better option for shimano style hubs that that little plastic bracket? Ideal something that won't let the wires be pulled through if I forget to unclip it before releasing the wheel.

  • Have you tried not doing that?

One trick some people use is switching the QR to the same side as the plug as a reminder.

  • Genius

  • If it's the same as the SP one, I've forgotten about it a bunch of times and haven't pulled the wires out. Maybe you need to fold over more stripped wire or add some electrical tape to hold them in place for accidental yankings.
