There are a number of slightly different length and thread pitch axles available to suit various forks
-
• #1653
I also thought the hun would be delivered with a tru axle, but no. Any suggestions for one to get?
Thru axles are fork specific. What fork do you have?

• #1654
Waiting for a Bombtrack Ext V2 fork that lost its way from germany.
Spec says I need 12 x 100 mm 1.5p
-
• #1655
It should come with one.
-
• #1656
Says not included in the spec. But will see.
-
• #1657
Ah, see what you mean - is it Bike24? That's a bit shit. You need the right length (it's 100mm between the dropouts but also needs to fit with the width of the dropout itself), thread length, thread pitch. Good luck with it

Hubs never come with through axles, comes with fork / have to buy alone. Robert axle project cover most bases if manufacturers don’t provide

Will check, thanks!

Pretty much.
I like the Maxle Stealth from Rockshox/Sram or Robert Axle project.
Looks like the Maxle option is 118.5.

Is there an adaptor available to convert this Thru axle SON hub to QR?
About to place an order so thinking I should future-proof the hub and give myself the option of running QR in future.

Anyone got a heads up on new shimano 15x100 dyno hub?
https://bike.shimano.com/en-EU/product/component/deorext-t8000/DH-UR708-3D.html
Or something that's same fitment, seems to be xt level which is nice but not essential.
Pd do a pd8x on that configuration but a lot more money (but current available!).
Or anyone have something to sell that will fit -

I have a dynamo hub for sale in this thread
https://www.lfgss.com/conversations/349790/
It’s a DH-3N72 built onto a 700c rim

Looking for a lightweight rim to go with my 32 hole SON hub. It'll use between 38c for touring and 40c for off-roading.
Are HplusSon's a good shout, and wide enough?
-
• #1670
I would go wider. I had 42c on 23 internal and they were lovely, really great cornering. 650b or 700? The forum recommendation is almost always Kinlin something
-
• #1671
Hmm I never realised they were so narrow.
I can get a pretty good deal on the Hope 20Five which is 20mm wide internal, guess that'd be wide enough.
Has anyone tried this rim?
