  • The wiggle code worked ok for me. Thinking of ordering more to stock up!

    Lemon and Lime is good

  • My BOGOF turned up from Wiggle but there was no Haribo.

On Watermelon flavour now. Almost indistinguishable from any other pink Nuun.
I think I'll just refer to their range as 'Pink', 'Lemony' and 'Cheating' from now on.

Please can you specify which flavour you refer to as 'cheating'?

  • Any Nuun with Caffeine in it

    Kola and Lemon Tea.

  • .......and the New cherry lemonade. Which has Vit B too.

I have 2 tubs of that, 2 tea, and 2 kola.

    I like caffiene.

    Awaits EPO Nuun

  • Arrived last week and I got haribo AND a high5 electrolyte sample. Party time!

  • made the mistake of mentioning to my GF that nuun are good for staving off hangovers. my stash is now repeatedly raided whenever she's been out for a few drinks :(

  • Yep, same problem here!

  • I'm confused by the BOGOF on Wiggle http://www.wiggle.co.uk/nuun-active-hydration-tabs-tube-buy-one-get-one-free/ which is more expensive than buying two individual tubes at £4something http://www.wiggle.co.uk/nuun-active-hydration-tablets-tube/ or http://www.wiggle.co.uk/nuun-active-hydration-tablets-tube-1/

Links for affiliate purposes if someone can explain the BOGOF to me... :/

Yep! This x million in my house.

  • There's a bogof deal on Hi-5 Zero in Evans atm, though not on nuun. Hi-5 worried about all the love being thrown at nuun on here?

High 5s are tasteless junk. Best to buy the promo packs with bottles for £1-2, works out better value than all the deals per tab.

  • Nuun keeping me alive during revision.

  • Fallen out of the habit of using lo-salt/nuun in my water... hello headaches. :(

  • I've got into the habit of having one lime and lemon tab in 750ml of water when I get to work and another of the same after lunch.
In the last week I've also had a pretty consistent dose of the slips/the squits/the slops/the shits.
    Are these things related?

I seem to remember from low sugar sweet wrappers that regular consumption of some sweetners can send your guts to jelly.
    Same sorta deal maybe...?

  • Why are you using them when not cycling?

  • Sorry that should read ...cycling/hungover?

    :)

Yes the electrodes and Vitamin b2 can do this. An overdose of vitamin b2 also turns your pee fluorescent yellow.

On the subject of hangovers, how many should I be drinking a day to get rid of one? Have done 3 today so far.

  • ^ Do you mean electrolytes? I'm not expert in the complexities of intra/extra-cellular electrolyte balances, and obviously none of us are the same, but I think you'd have to take A LOT of these vits and minerals in order to see those symptoms you cite, surely?

Especially since sports drinks are usually used to combat dehydration. Two tabs per day doesn't sound enough to be causing fluoro pee or diarrhea. I take much stronger/purer forms of B vits and electrolytes every day and have never had those symptoms. That's not to say fluctuations aren't dangerous - I also have weekly blood tests to monitor levels as dips in Potassium especially can be really bad.

WjPrince - have you tried having just one per day and seeing what happens? Perhaps also get your bloods checked?

Did you find B2 helped much with your migraines Shoosh?

  • Yes I meant electrolytes.

I take 400 mg of vitamin b2 and 150 mg of CQ10 daily and they make a great difference to my migraines.

  • And you have disco pee?

  • Shhhhhhhhhh .... Don't tell everyone. TMI.
