• LMNH crew please note that 9.30 prompt departure doesn't mean turn up at 9.30!

Then insist you "need a coffee! lol"

  • LMNH crew please note that 9.30 prompt departure doesn't mean turn up at 9.30!

This is going to be a fantastic day/ride

Indeed - prompt 9.30am departure! I said meet 9am, but obviously you don't actually need to be there at 9am. But if you want to hang around for half an hour you do, as we will go at 9.30. LMNH doesn't open till 9.30, sorry.

I hope so, not only is sun and 24 degrees forecast, the wind is also forecast to be going in the helpful direction.

Make sure you bring enough water for your needs....

First, and probably last, day long ride of the year for me.

EPO and other essentials packed. Put your hand up if you want some. Tour de France special discount.

  • That route that you've programmed in there, is there any way to download it onto an Android phone, and put into Google Maps? You'll have to keep any explanation very Fisher Price for me...

  • ^^no thanks I've got two flapjacks. I'm going to try and time them to be at optimum for the intermediate sprint and the KoM points

  • Turns out: neither.

  • Flapjacks are not UCI legal. Dont you remember the butter / sugar / pecan scandal of '97 ?

in, at 90% will update in the morning if not coming...
nearly considered the low pro but too many miles!

  • I'd guess 9.45. I'd rather not stop the ride 4 miles in, so make sure you can see us coming and are ready to go.

If we get to B&Q and it's 9.40 though (which seems unlikely) I'll pause there till 9.45.

Roger Wilko. I'll be wearing a pink carnation.*

    *I'll be by B&Q on a bike

  • anyone got any sun block? Tesco was out.

  • yep. i'll bring some

  • I found some in the cupboard. But you might want to bring some for others.

  • see the Lea Bridge Road group 9.45. You can do it when you...

  • I think my gf was a bit astounded when I told her on the phone I wasnt going to play polo tomorrow...

I am excited now, its been ages since I've been on a long spin!

As the Tour de France has started, I shall be wearing my yellow cycling jersey tomorrow as an homage.

  • Will you be talking in a thick Waterford accent all day?

  • Really want to wear my 'Nuclear Services' 80s jersey, but it's nylon/wool and I'll actually generate a nuclear reaction if I wear that in 25 degrees. So I'm the beardy guy in the boring white Mavic jersey. See you at B&Q.

  • Out. Overslept and haven't put my bike together.

  • Hey sorry for leaving you. Was sick a couple times at the roundabout and didn't feel like chancing future issues or holding things up. Enjoy it

  • Shit! Hope you're ok. Wrongcog says are you pregnant, but I said you'd probably know if you were.

    We're at East Hanningfield now.

What if YAL has irregular periods? I mean it's not always that obvious. Congratulations pending his successful test, though, obvs.

Gotta say, it is a fine day for a ride. Very jealous.

  • An overworked gag reflex?

  • YAL.. Congrats if you are preggie's, you've only been married a coupla months, ha
Hope every one had a great ride. Sorry for bailing out, epic stag-do hangover this morning..

  • Thanks everyone for your concern, the baby looks like a combination of Sigourney Weaver in 1978 and a bowl of Cookie Crisp - or at least that what the Whipps Cross Roundabout ultrasound says.

  • Thanks to Fox and to everyone else for making that a great ride. Nice to meet lots more forum people "IRL", if that doesn't make me sound like the internet in the 90s....

Still got one flapjack left—shame on you all!

  • ^ Thanks for the flapjacks .. they were awesome

and also thanks for the ride Fox and everyone.. one of the best forum rides I've been on I think ~
