I think you'll be able to manage on that gear, far from ideal though. Could always chuck a fixed wheel on it ;)

Good news on that subject, I looked through my bottom less boxe of stuff and found a better / more suitable block (14-24 instead of 14-18, a 5 speed too so spacing is correct, and even better compatibility with my chain!) I swapped it last night and tried it around the block, I could even manage hills a bit now, even with the 52 chainring...

I'm out, Cambridge is a logistical nightmare for me plus I should really be collecting the keys to my new place. Maybe next time, pre autumn HHSB ride should be arranged!
