97/98 I think.
Looking at the 2000 model year catalogue and either of our bikes could be straight out of that.

Turns out mine has the anniversary sticker on it, so its a '97 at the earliest

Frame numbers from this thread (Blinged out Serotta CSI New photos! - The Paceline Forum post #22) would suggest that yours is probably a 97/98 and mines probably 98/99
-

Yours had the anniversary decal as well http://s1292.photobucket.com/user/edvardbleek/media/DSC_0138_zpsfe99295a.jpg.html?sort=3&o=8

Good detective work.
So, 1997 for both of them?
-
• #106
I think that CSI's from '97 onwards had the decal so '97 at the earliest unless we can find a serial number from '98 to prove they weren't that late
-
• #107
Does yours say 1996 on the decal at the base of the seat tube?
-
• #108
I've got a bit nerdy about it: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Aok0SFXMuz2fdExzMGJDUllpNE1NN1E0Q3dWc3QtQlE&usp=drive_web#gid=0

Yep, same decals as yours at the BB. Your spreadsheet says mines a '97 and not a guess, you seem something that places it?
-
• #110
Just the 25th anniversary sticker to be honest, from what I've read that nails it down to '97.
However- this is just stuff I've read on the internet, so I'm fully prepared to accept that it's wrong!
-
• #111
I thought that just indicated that it was 97 or later. Ill start a thread on the paceline, they'll put us out of our misery!
-
• #112
You may well be correct- someone over there should know.
-
• #113
Done. Let's see if they can shine some light.
I've gone fully into detective mode now, do i send a Hans Ott that mentions mountain biking as a hobby on linkedin an inmail to ask if it was his? Has this gone too far?
-
• #114
You can never go to far.
Look what I just found as part of the hunt for serial numbers: http://www.flickr.com/photos/55064833@N05/sets/72157627737226788/

Looks like you got the colour pretty much spot on, thats a lovely frame
Browsing the paceline and came across this - Winter Bicycles "Serotta Reborn" - The Paceline Forum Page 1 - Amazing transformation, Page 3 - Scoblestacked monstrosity, kill it with fire

I wish I'd taken a better photograph of the downtube decal on mine before it got stripped (I swear I did, but cannot find it now).
Anyway- if you look at this auction you can see the sticker is "Est 1972", it's different from the 25th anniversary sticker I think?
I'm pretty sure that this is what was on mine, rather than the 25th anno one that you have.
-
• #117
yeh, it does look slightly different. But apparently 815 was a '97 so yours should have been '97 or later and have had the anniversary sticker
-
• #118
It looks like they made ~200 in 1995, then ~500 in 1996, then maybe ~800 in 1997?
Odd that we've not found a '98 yet- which both of our bikes could be going on the catalogue pictures.
-
• #119
i've only just realised that you'd already posed the serial number on the paceline, oh well, at least we have twice the chance that someone will see it.
Meanwhile i've emailed a swedish salesman on the off chance that he bought a bike once. It was only after i clicked send that the thought occurred, what if he comes back and says that yes, it was his and it was stolen some time ago?

Change your name?
Looking at mine again, you can see "Barbara Heeb, Lugano" on the seat tube- which is an addition to the standard decal:
She rode for/on a Serotta, and won the world championship in '96.

Bab's gets a mention on mine too http://static.lfgss.com/attachments/66028d1365338448-s2.jpg

Slowly adding more detail, does yours have a bolt on plastic guide under the BB, or is it integral to the shell/metal?
I think yours is probably at least a '98 and might be a '99.
-
• #123
very nice bike. And worth the wait i see.
-
• #124
The guides on mine are part of the shell, does that make it earlier or later?
-
• #125
I'm not sure. Yours is younger than mine, but mine has a plastic guide so it might mean nothing.
When did the headtube mounted cable stops start appearing?
Im just having a look on google and CS 46 1073 seems to be from 97 suggesting ours are later
