  • Amazing from Visconti

  • absolutely brilliant

  • Brilliant riding.

  • Apt finish for visconti!

  • Lovely Betancur tribute act there.

  • awww Navardauskas

  • Garmin fool..

    I WIN!!

    Oh, wait..

  • epic stage finish today-Cav looked well pissed he wasn't up there to fight it out but sterling TT to the line from Visconti, exciting stuff.

Still really bummed out if the mountains are going to be drastically altered, will be a massive anticlimax and kind of hands it to Nibs on a plate unless they find equally imposing equivalents. Helicopter the entire Giro to Sicily?

In other news, aside from being massively put out about mountains, I realised when grinding into a stinking headwind for a few hours earlier that Cadel is a dead ringer for Slythe out of Thundercats:

that is all, i'm going to slouch into the bath with a can of wifebeater to soak and have a sulk.

  • Yup - a real shame about the weather ruling out the Gavia, etc.

Really unpredictable. I think it was early June when I went up there a couple of years back and it was 36c at the bottom and still in the 20s at the top!

Incredible attack from Visconti, particularly to bridge and shell the breakaway like that.

  • Anyone got a link to todays highlights? Too soon?

  • Navardauskas is a beast. Rapha gift vouchers in the post from DB?

  • ^ excellent

  • "Todays tactics are for Siutsou, Kiriyenka and Navardauskas to make 200 pro cyclists cry for 180km, any questions?"

    "Nice one Dave!"

  • Would liked to have seen spartacus in action on today's stage.

Any news on dem big hillz inthe next stages? i.e., are we gonna see any?

  • I MUST HAVE the glasses Fellini is wearing

  • Bumface is leaning all over the shop on this TT as he's a full minute back from Nibbles. Nibbles smashing through it and Sanchez's lead - currently first in the stage - is looking seriously threatened.

  • Ouch, Evans a long way down at the first time check

  • Pacing is key on mountain time trials, if you start to fast it can be catastrophic.

I think Nibali will win, but Evans will close that gap at the finish.

  • Good job they've taken the big mountains out, Nibali would just out more and more time into Evans. He's certainly smashing him today.

  • LOL at all of us who trying to watch this Giro in HD; all the bloody cameras are consistently covered in friggin rain.

  • Will nibs catch evans?

  • Good job they've taken the big mountains out,

blasphemy. wash your mouth out and don't spout that filth again. There is nothing good about their removing the mountain stages!

    You are a blithering idiot.
