  • “I don’t know what will happen, but [Sergio] Henao and I are different than Froome. We always work for the team and we’ve never had any problems with the team,” Urán said. “We are not like Froome. I came here with the idea of helping the squad, whatever the goals may be. We shall see. We have to take it day by day.”

That's the one I was thinking of-he elaborated more in a tv interview-think it's on the Giro/Rai website with a weird english overlay.

  • Cav has won 3 stages, and counting.
    Where was Goss today btw?

Yeah, so Cav has won 2 stages and one more.. and no red.

"Gossy will win 8 stages. Okay maybe not but there has to be some bias"

  • This thread has descended into absolute bollocks.

What's the gap to Wiggo on the descent?

  • B- a good effort but you could have gained a higher mark by referring to his time at Telekom and his links with Ferrari.

    That was coming next, honest

Why do you think he left Telekom and his "links with Ferrari" was a test which he made very clear in his book.

"rubbish at the Tour" = 7th place after matching Wiggo up to the ITT and still putting the willies into Sky until the magic Kenyan and the Train de la Leinders took him apart.

  • This forum has always been absolute bollocks.

    ftfy

  • I found the spectacle of the whole Sky train except Uran dropping back to pace their clearly sick as a fucking dog leader strangely moving. Like a guard of honour or something. I don't know.

  • Or more accurately, a changing of the guard.

  • This is all getting a little maudlin.

    Does anyone have a violin?

  • or know a bugler?

  • I quite like it that the GC contenders all look human at the moment. It seems better to me that in the last 5 or 6 grand tours we have had 5 or 6 diffrent winners. Would love to see cuddles take it now.

With the tour. Just cos Froome has got a kick on the hills dosent meen it will be a walk in the park. I think he will struggle with the preasure of being team leader and crack inder constant attacks from Contador. Evans (is he even riding the tour?) and Wiggo will grind and spin there way into 2nd and 3rd and Froome will propperly throw his toys out the pram. Although the riding in this coming tour is only a side show for the fight to the death between Kathey Wiggins and Michele Counde.

    rightho - thanks

  • that looks like one of Cav's toughest wins, and his 100th. Massive chapeau, still the class of the field

Watching it now, spot on, closing ranks around their injured Captain. Another chapeau. Cycling is a cruel sport.

Man I gotta lay off the meths

  • or know a bugler?

    Cooeee!

Says the man who will watch a race a week after and still come in here and comment on it.

    I wasn't talking to you.

  • sprint was tough on Viviani, got completely squeezed out of it, first by Cav who couldn't know, then by Bouhanni

  • Be interesting to see if Wiggins sulks and sacks it off, or actually attempts to do some teamwork
Thinking back to Millar's account of Bradders failing to lead out Farrar

  • ^ Did you actually watch him ride today? Sulking? He's fucked. Properly in a hole that would have you and me phoning in sick and watching Jeremy Kyle for a few days not riding a century at 40km/h in the pissing rain

And no-one really wants to lead out Tyler he'd just crash into you.

  • Fair to say he could get worse. I'm basing it on Brailsford saying he was getting better, and Bradders' tendency to sulk
Can't imagine today did any good for him
Be great if Uran could clinch it though, a repeat performance of the other day would be interesting

  • ^You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to adoubletap again.
