Well yes, that's kind of why I shared it. I can't believe I'm alone in thinking it's still basically crap for cycling.

Nothing we can do until there's enough fatalities to make them do something about it, again.

until such time you just keep riding all over the whole of Londons famous London as you have for years Ed, benefitting every day regardless of the current small scale focus on infrastructure.

The last time I cycled over I got screamed at by a driver for being on the road. If there was a fast, viable alternative I'd use that to get home from Stratford. (West to east doesn't bother me as much as the other way.)
And yes, Miss Branwen, gender assumptions are a useful at times, annoying at others and in this case makes me wonder how I'm supposed to have faith in an organisation that always addresses me as my dad :/
I'm surprised, I used to cycle over the flyover every day and never had a problem, it's so wide, you'd have to be a total cunt to complain. Only once I had an issue when I heard a rising engine note, then a sudden chirp of tyres behind me, I braced for the worst, but luckily the guy managed to not drive into me, then even apologised at the next lights.

As I've said before, in many locations, there's no point in tinkering with a crap junction like Bow. You just start again. Bow needs a town centre developed there. It's about halfway between Stratford and Mile End. Make it a destination, with shops and other activity, and it'll be transformed completely. It would change the rhythm of going along the A11/A118.

I posted about it on the first page of this thread, too, if anyone's interested.

That flyover is a nightmare, I don't often get the 'get in your lane' abuse around town but have done frequently in Bow. Even by bus drivers and black cabs, which is worrying.
Unfortunately, it's simply safer to use than that roundabout.
I might look at extending my route to take me away from that whole area, cs2 already broke my collarbone once.
Shit area. -

Some nice new trails are forming via the Wick and Olympic park now.

well that's a ruddy fine suggestion. cheers.

I reckon a current good one into north Stratford / south Leyton is to cross into the park via White Post Lane then left up to the north park towards the velodrome and out through the new high rises adjacent to the top of Westfield. When its all open there will be loads of quiet trails for the traffic shy.

^ Surely that's more a case of the driver talking, not concentrating on the lights, which happens everywhere.
Or are you posting it because of the overt irony in the situation? In which case, ignore me ^ :)
That reply sound very much a copy/paste work, all it does is merely explaining how it work.
