I'm kind of new on the fourm (long time browser non poster).
But I've got a spare coach ticket back if anyone's interested.
Not sure if PM's are supported on the forum but I've switched on the email alert.

Is the food stop at Sible again this year? Was that not a one-off deviation from the route? I done DD six times and it was at Waldingfield for 5 times out of 6. Not that it bothers me cause I live that neck of the woods, know the lanes well and use maps and fiddly paper route sheets, but punters with GPS may just all take the turn for Sible without needing to.
I double checked on the official route guidance and the feed stop is indeed at Sible Hedingham. http://londonschoolofcycling.co.uk/content.php?id=18&article_id=3
It was there on the 2012 & 2011 rides too.

As I have said before , buy a map and perhaps a compass.
An OS map is both a work of art and an encylopedia.

Feh, new-fangled OS maps.
I prefer a lodestone and a vellum map drawn with ochre. As backup I simply carry a goat to sacrifice, and take my bearings my casting the entrails.

The feed stop will be at Sible Hedingham, yes. Make sure you don't miss it--you have to keep going along Church Street in SH and not follow the sweeping turn into Rectory Road.
NB the village hall in Great Waldingfield became much too small around 2009. It's extremely unlikely that the feed will be there again, although of course the route still goes past it.

That would be the best option, but I've done longer rides on the geared bike, so am more confident of being comfortable etc. Seta for you?

If it's this hot Sunday morning a swim might actually be on the cards.

A swim should always be on the cards, it's the seaside.

I'd heard that some people were looking for transportation back from Dunwich. A couple of my friends at The Cycologist have a minibus and Luton arranged for safe bike and body return to London. Beer and prosecco will be provided and tickets are £40. Go to the Dunwich Dynamo Facebook page and look for posts by Louis Quinton or private message him: https://www.facebook.com/louis.quinton.7
Hope this is helpful..

About time I got involved in this years thread - better late than never eh!
This will be the pre-touring shakedown ride so i'll be fully loaded like a 4 bag pack mule on an 80's Dawes Galaxy. Looking forward to it!
