Have you seen the list of attendees to her funeral. A more despicable bunch it is hard to imagine;
- The Queen and Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh
- Former Prime Minister Tony Blair and his wife Cherie
- Former President of South Africa, FW de Klerk
- Former cabinet member, Lord Carrington
- Former Private Secretary to Lady Thatcher, Lord Powell of Bayswater KCMG OBE
- Dame Shirley Bassey
- Jeremy Clarkson
- Lord and Lady Lloyd Webber
- Lord and Lady Archer
- The Queen and Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh

I would disagree with a couple of points on here.
Neil Kinnock (hardly that Daily Mail bastion of anti-leftiness) was on TV the other day and explicitly criticised the NUM and Scargill for being so intransigent and obstructive in their dealings with the government during the Miners strikes. He said that this made things worse ultimately for the communities that the unions were supposed to represent. So neither ill informed nor just deploying usual daily mail cliches. This criticism of Scargill, for calling a national strike without a ballot, is well worn. Now Scargill was always a cock, but he was elected (by 70% of the membership) on a manifesto that included a national strike in the event of pit closures for any other reason than the coal was exhausted. He didn't need a ballot. Kinnock knew this, he was caught in the middle and had a simple choice to make - he should have chosen to support the NUM. Kinnock is also a bit of a cunt.

Not the bestiality then?

Still bitter about the rugby then?
-

From what I've heard, she's a real cow, so maybe that too.

I have about as much interest in rugby as I have in bike polo.

You're the right age for bike polo.

Lots of similarities there.
Braying elitism and copious amounts of cheap beer, and the English are rubbish at both.

Can Andy grow a beard though?

Wow, I need to help make sure Ding Dong makes it to number one spot! Time to get to ipod store (just this once). Amazing! I love you britain, when you do this sort of thing.

Reports coming in that Hurd, Lamont etc will be buried with her. Ken Clarke's request to receive the same honour has been rumoured to have been denied.

Bells of St. Paul's Cathedral in London - YouTube
I'm sure there is an onomatapoeic way of describing the noise of these bells.
-
• #723
Ha!
Do bells ring for funerals? Please tell me they do. Oh please please please!
-
• #724
Normal procedure is to muffle the bells for a funeral, so they are played but not at full volume.
-
• #725
Slower too. Still with that distinctive bell sound tho.
There's more than one way to deindustrialise a region. Fucking it swiftly out of existence and leaving no alternative provisions for jobs, isn't the only option. It's one borne out of a simplistic ideological mindset that a void is the best thing for the private sector to come in and thrive.
It's an aggressive form of paternalism that in the west is uniquely hers. She openly admitted to that she could only dream of doing what Pinochet did in Chile, but she was constrained by Democracy. The current minority elected portion of the coalition is far less constrained, thanks only to greater acceptance of her brand.
