Pardon me for being absent from my own thread, I became a grandfather yesterday and have been a little busy......

Gios C, we let others decide what is porn and let them post it on the porn thread if they think it's good enough. My bike hasn't made it there, maybe yours will. German roads must be much cleaner than ours, white tyres not possible here! Do you find the toestraps more comfortable through the wrong part of the pedal?

i'm sure the white Gios is amazing. its just hard to see an almost all white bike on a white back ground......and yes, leave it to the group to give it a porn status......

I made the toe straps through the Front, to get Out quicker And safer! The Problem is, that i got size 12 And large cages. When I use the regular Way of fixing, my shoes get so tight that I only got the Choice of "Good" side(left) or "Bad"side (right) to fall onto when I've to make a fast brake.

I'm not going to disagree with anyone who has size 12 feet and rides a 60 or 62 frame......

Frame size of my GIOS Compact is 62, thanx for your backing.

I think you're confusing backing with the reality that I have lived this long by never disagreeing with anyone big enough to have size 12 feet and a 62 frame!

I read your post on your Gios Aerodynamic. I am confronted with a similar project. After having dismounted all the components I’m actually discussing with my painter the color of the bike. Have you really put RAL5017 over red primer and were you satisfied with the result? A further question is where did you get the decals? Thanks for helping me!

Hi Markus, yep, RAL5017 over red and I'm happy! As I've said elsewhere Gios blue has changed over the years, early examples were darker and current ones appear to be brighter, but it seems to be about right and people who are bigger nerds than me agree....

The decals were a special order from World Cycle Decals (they have a website). Is yours an Aerodynamic? If not, they stock pretty much every other Gios decal. If it is an Aerodynamic I can give you the size and font of the silver 'Aerodynamic' lettering if they haven't kept the details of mine. I can't tell the difference from the originals!

Voilà, a picture of the frame. Gios Torino wrote me that it’s an Aerodynamic from 1981. In between I have contacted world cycle decals. Unfortunately they can’t remember your order and also lost their graphics from this period in a computer crash!? So could you please be so kind an send me all relevant information you have on the decals. Thanks a lot…
