I assume everyone is taking the train back to London. Is there a limit on how many bikes will be allowed onto the train?

If there is we will ignore it like we usually do.

This weekend we were hoping to hook-up with the HHSB Brighton ride crew so did the Guildford-Brighton leg.
The track was a bit wet and muddy in sections as you would expect for Spring after the colossal rains we've had.
My 7 year old Daughter managed the ride on 39x19 fixed trailer cycle with the last hour in the driving rain.
No tears, or tantrums just a great ride.

Yeah sorry we didn't catch you, it was a tough day on the sleds, after having taken a long and expensive lunch at Turner's hoping for the showers to pass, we
embarked into what can only be described as a squall... We had a couple of tears and the odd tantrum, including laner throwing his coffee out the pram, but managed a good day of it nonetheless. -

I would love to bring my SS 29er out on this... riding it with perfect tyres for this at the moment - Twin Rails. But I got to admit I am worried about keeping up with the pace you guys might set. Are you serious about setting 17mph (earlier post) all the way - you mean when you're moving or average overall?
Anyway, I won't cry if I run out of steam, just bail and ride to the nearest train station - but I'd rather not do that.

In my experience 17 mph would be very very fast. Especially as this is off road, I would guess at 12-14 mph rolling speed.
-
• #68
Yeah, that's what I figured. If you lot were aiming for 17mph I would have to bring my motorbike*. At the speed you are talking about I am probably in. Need to get authorisation first, but sounds great to me.
Would be a lovely warm up for the DD too.
- don't have one.
EDIT: Sounds great - correction - sounds excellent, like a fabulous ride.

Guys I'm pretty sure Dimi was taking the piss when he said 17mph, either that or he plans to do repeats and lap us a few times.
