Rep to whoever came up with the Ingatestone route - did it on Saturday morning and it's a lovely load of pretty Essex lanes. Only met one douchebag Essex driver on way back to station.

I could really do with a gentle recovery ride to ease my aching pins after Sunday (with optional ferret-up-a-drainpipe climb thrown in). Can I jump in on your GS4, Des?

I have a mate who's being cagey about whether or not he's going to come tonight, so for the moment I'll just put myself down. Additionally, this one seems pretty ideal FG/SS but I dash home for my gears if it's going to get all Smasharound McCoy?

Mainly one of Clintsmoker's I think - I remember recce'ing it with him & shoots one Saturday. Nice back lanes as you say, possibly a better day route than a night one given than we keep getting lost. We haven't done that as a tnrc for ages... should put it back in.

I am officially in, so anybody who does want to smash it around is going to be bitterly disappointed :-)

Sorry to be a pain, just read the rules in OP, and could not find my answer... Last time I rode TNRC was about 2 years ago... What are the rules in terms of numbers? Am I correct to assume that if the list above has reached 10 riders then it's full?
Was hoping to join tonight if work allows... -
• #843
There are rules?!
-
• #844
TBH, things start to get a bit shite once the numbers are much more than 20.
For GS4 purposes, 16 max on the train is usually the way - if you get 2 per doorway spread along most of the outbound train, commuters remain fairly placated.

Someone is jesting with you...
Spot 2 is open. You won't find a post in the last month where I've put my name down with you. Tuesday night, as everyone knows is North drinks. (And SE drinks/and Tricks too if you are really old-school)

Fine night for a ride - looks like a few people who know the route well. A couple of bits to watch out for on this route; the 6 or 7 mile stretch between Codicote and Hitchin on the way out tends to have a bit of traffic that may split the group up and requires some singling-up. We'll re-group just before the first roundabout at Hitchin if we get split up. After that it's quiet lanes, one draggy climb and a 7+ mile straight stretch from Lilley back to the B656/Codicote. Things generally get strung out along here as those that can, do... we'll regroup at the T junction at the end just before Codicote.
Vello - as Rameye says there's usually some no shows, so put your name down if you can make it. The next train (19:34) gets in to WGC only 12 mins later if we have any probs with bike capacity. I have a spare Exposure Spark I'll bring along if you want a loaner light.
