No, I believe him entirely, badgers are bastards.

Thanks all for allowing gears in the playground...
Had a lovely evening catching up with the oldies, trying to remember the youngies and of course Scarlett spotting.
Cheers to Des and Alex for backstopping and leading us round, much appreciated. -

Next ride May 21st, list up next week - may actually make it to Kent this time.
Did Kent 2 on Sunday night, road to foot of Bayleys still closed, planned end date 10th May. But Hale Oak Road is a more than reasonable replacement, although the first section of Bayleys that you miss if you take the original route is a bit rough. No gravel or anything, just a bit rough.
They've also patched sections of the Pilgrims Way, but it's not been rolled well, I reckon they just patted it down with a plank of wood. So no holes, but a bit of vibration instead.
And finally, on the descent of Sundridge Hill, when you start to flatten out there a few potholes to look out for, but as it's early on it'll still be light.

someone did a good job of putting that route together
I think of them as my legacy routes now.
It definitely has its merits in reverse too, although the additional right turns would need care and attention as a group. I was concentrating like mad on a few of the more twisty sections, half expecting over-zealous TNRCers to come flying round the bend at me, avoiding potholes or whatever; and the baby rabbits were being just that bit too frisky on the verges.
The badgers were still sleeping when I traversed their territory, thankfully. Hope people's aches and pains abate swiftly.

Nice ride.
Sorry to ditch the riding-home party on the way up that hill... ended up riding most of the way home with Rod Munch...
Yes, sorry about this also. I was trying initially trying to bridge the gap a bit so people could potentially follow the lights - but by the time I'd caught up I realised we'd pretty much reached the point where we'd have to split anyway. [And it was too tempting to shamelessly draught zanda back to Central London! ;)]
Another great ride though - I could get used to this Tuesday night lark I think... :)

God damn badgers. Seriously though Chris, thanks for being a stand up guy and going over the top, rather than riding over me. I wouldn’t have had the experience or the forethought to do the same.
I hope you heal up soon I, do have a little road rash this morning and holes in my clothes but otherwise I’m completely fine.
Another great TNRC even including the Crash.
Thanks to Des and everyone, the ride home was nice too.

I tested how destructive those pot holes are on Tuesday afternoon, they don't destroy bikes but give it a fair go.

I tested their ability to instill fear and dread last week. It lead to me ditching gently to the side.

Heading out on the Toblerone route on Thursday to check the pain levels. Will decide after then if I am riding next week. Could be a bedwetter though given it is south of the river and I cannot find my passport.

More important to get your shots.
Oh and BTW, the badgers chat is bollocks. It was all Chris' fault.
