Season finale: 22nd Oct in the Surrey Hills, I'm not about, so who wants to take the reigns?
Weather forecast looks shithouse, but am happy to lead if anybody wants to do it. So:

Has Ingatestone always passed through Willingale, Norton Heath and Blackmore?

No, but it was always supposed to. One time I think it passed through Finchingfield, but I can't remember whose Garmin we were following that time.

out, jet lagged and got too much stuff on this week. have a good ride and take it easy on whitedown
-
• #1808
I'm still undecided. I have my stuff at work in case I catch the rod munch train, or the train train. Over did it a bit at the weekend. both on the bike and in the pub.

Oh dear. It seems that the reports of TNRC's demise were not greatly exaggerated.
-
• #1810
In case you check the thread RM, the train is running a bit late. We'll be in at 2000
-

Well, it was only a ThreeNRC but it was ace.
First half of the ride was lit up by an epic electrical storm. Second half was punctuated by Howard running over a mouse, deer on ranmore common and a mini monsoon on the sprint back to Effingham.
100% FG/SS too, which was nice.
Big thanks to Matt, Chris, Des and everybody else that's played a part in organisation this year. It's been fun.

Good work guys. Classic route to bring the curtain down on the TNRC, and some classic htfu riding to boot.
Post season piss up anyone?
-
• #1813
Yep, where?
-
• #1814
^^ yep, keen

Jesus christ, Howard. The mouse might have been an accident, but you'd have had to go out of your way to run over the deer and the monsoon, you ought to be ashamed of yourself.

Howard has no mercy. Much of the wildlife in Epping Forest has fallen beneath his wheels :-(
-
• #1817
In my defence the mouse was an accident.
The deer and weather system...not so much.
What can I say? I'm a beast.
-
• #1818
You aimed for the deer? This is real life not GTA V you monster.
-
• #1819
and he deliberately delayed the train to make sure he got a clear shot at running down the monsoon too! Without that we'd have been safely ensconced in the pub for the whole downpour...
But I digress, that was a top ride to finish off with. Thanks for turning up fellas, it would have been a bit spooky on my own, what with the lightening and the greasy hairpins and stuff...
I'd be up for beers too ^^^^

• #1820
Beers, yes. If you can still accept this cold-blooded killer.

Not a euph...
I really did stuff them up my arse.
-

did you notice an uptick in the reading on the power meter after this?
-
• #1824
If only it was that simple.
Was riding fixed anyways.
Tempted by stages crank arm though...

OMG, really the season finale, it seems so sad.
I don't get to read many threads here but the TNRC thread has always been a winner.
A big thanks to Tim and Jonny for kicking it off all those moonlit nights ago, Benjam, Ramye, Middle and Des for pushing it on, the route creators who plotted circular routes, pushing on through those dark dark lanes, oh and the Boo 'entertainment' :-)
Have no doubt that the TNRC format will carry on in some way or other as riding bikes at night with a group of likeminders is very special and rewarding, not to mention a great way to get to know other forumengers.
I think everyone I know on here was through TNRC and not drinks. (hmm except the Rolaz nights which involved a fair bit of drinks...)
