The bits that attack the bars that come from the crown to the back of the rack? No, they're pretty tight fitting.
-
• #1103
That'd mean a far bit of cash, as I've had to have new wheels and tyres etc.
Not worth it for this imo

Boo, you whore.

Looks great 👍
I do think it needs drops now. If you're going to spend all day in the saddle you want different places to put your hands.

Well, if anyone sees cheap Hylix...
-
• #1107
I swear I saw a pair on BR but cant find it now ..

What's your current brake setup again? Now I am sort of starting to understand this disc stuff...
-
• #1109
Get S700 10sp and use it with your current group

Real nice bike!
I wonder if you could get a mount to put the pump on one of the seat stays.
Also consider a bottle cage boss dropper, so you can lower the one on seat tube, to get a 1L bidon in there.
Love the colour.
Loved touring mine. Front loaded it handled so nice, I presume those forks give you the same geo as the thorn ones.

Currently using shimano XTR.

If I can find them cheap... That German place didn't have the left side remember.

I did look at stay mounts, but it would have interfered with any rear rack I would have used.
Not a bad idea for the dropper will look into that, and these forks are the thorn ones, I just had eyelets added to the crown so I could use the surly 24 pack rack .

• #1114
How about TRP Spyre then?
-
• #1115
Ah thought you might have had some new ones custom. Man those thorns were/are heavy!
-
• #1117
I agree. Sell the track bike buy hydro...

I had bought a B&M rear dynamo light, which had an integrated reflector and was designed to to on the back of a rear rack. I rarely use a rear rack so I got a new light and knocked up this bracket.

Looks good! I might copy that.

Seeing as this is the "croix de fer chat and bantz thread"...
Will i get 700x40 marathon supreme on my '15 croix OK?
-
• #1121
Got 40c nanos in one, so don't see why not. Unless they come up pretty large.
-
• #1122
Great.
Next question, can I get an 11-36 11 speed cassette to run on a long cage 5800 mech?
-
• #1123
I dunno. How good are you at setting gears up? ;-)
-
• #1124
Sorry I mean literally can I get an 11-36 11 speed cassette, preferably cheaply, that will run with shimano 11 speed.
I have no concern over the setup...
Or fuck it and go 650b, lighter wheels and tyres.
