Looks awesome. Personally I would stay well clear of anything but black bar tape, especially considering the effort you went to in order to remove the logos and other tarty things from wheels and bars.

I think you are right. The Cinelli could look great.. but could also look very cheap/tacky.
Black brooks with Giles Berthoud leather plugs?

I'd say the first ones. They look like a quality product. They leather is lovely and I reckon that subtle text is in keeping with the aesthetic of the bike. Hope looks a bit crass and the text is to big. Nitto a bit bland
Defo first ones for me.

Nitto are lightest and best looking.

the first ones are dowdy looking, and should only be on a scoble bike.
LOL! I've never seen them in the flesh, so will take your word for it.
This is by no means going to be a weight wiener, so an extra few grams here or there isn't going to be a problem. Its my beer gut thats the problem.
Any other suggestions for black anodised or Ti plugs?

only good with cotton tape.

Yeah, I was going to say. Because they are narrow in diameter they dont cover thick (leather) bar tape very well.
Grip doctors finish it nicely

I like the Hopes.

whats wrong with normal plugs? They don't come out if you are even half decent at wrapping bars.

Crikey, that does look good.

Great looking bike! I like the cinelli tape a lot!
If you however choose to go with leather there is nothing like handlebra.com imo! -
• #41
I've never seen these before but they look classy as fuck. Definitely get my vote if you're going with black leather-y tape.
If I was in the market for a new bike it might look a bit like this is going to!

Yummy, suscribed

What size is the clamp btw? I just ordered an ebay ti clamp last night but that omni looks tasty...
-
• #44
It's 34.9. They do another version in 31.8 which has the diagonal clamp, which is much the same as the Van Nic/Enigma standard clamp. It isn't as nice imo.
Postage is from the US, but was really good, under a week and I managed to avoid any import duties.
They also do an alloy version of this in 34.9 & 31.8 -

this will be getting great!!!
(good call with the acetone, will try this for my bike too.)
