To be honest, it's never really bothered me not fully wrapping the bars. It's brought more peace of mind if anything not making it a target for theft while locked up... I have a brand new box of tape for backup and have multiple partial rolls laying around. Maybe the Allez will have the liberty of fully wrapped bars.... Speaking of which, first sunny day out on it feels like this year.. poor thing has only been ridden in the wet

That's nice, the red saddle fits well with the rest

I have to admit the inline post/short nose saddle combo has won me over paired up to this frame...

Following through with plans painting before replacing the fork for the mini. I'd like to spray a ghost pattern of translucent pink over the white pearl and seal it with heavy clear coat.

So the fork didn't work out the way I hoped... So I'm taking the Vig' for a flossy ride around the neighborhood to distract from the disappointment.. My pet Gizmo feels my pain

Probably the last test of the fork before swapping in the replacement. I had my doubts about gearing with rack sans kfc family pack.., and some gravels

Steer cut on the fork.. the rake has shifted my weight further back Wich makes it handle differently. Feels nicer on rough stuff than the straight fork

All my drops have been double wrapped for comfort.. Gel strips underneath the bar tape has been a recent experience

What tyre pressure are you running? If I find out that you're running 120psi and double wrapping tape with gel strips to compensate...
The bike looks great by the way (disregarding the tape). I really like the sparkly paintjob!

Thanks brother. I'm running 70 up front 80 in the back with 25c/28c rear... The vigorelli is begging to go for longer rides but limited to time restraints and family obligations.

still seems high but at least it's not 2009 LFGSS era pressures of 100+.
Have you ever thought about throwing a brake and some hoods on the Vigorelli to make it a bit different to your other bikes and more comfortable for longer rides? It looks like a really good foundation for a banging road fixed bike.

road fixed
Solid advice!!

I hear what you're saying about road fixed but the minimalist in me won't allow it. I do however enjoy riding brakes on the part time commuter/ errand runner

Would a true minimalist allow a second, superfluous layer of tape 🤔
(I'm just playing though, you know what you like, set your bikes up however brings you the most joy)

Was a good time for this Thursday Brs social ride. The route led back to a hill climb spot where there had been an event past Friday. Ordered a shallow wheel set advertised as lightweight and hand tensioned... I hope the rose gold will coincide with the Sugino Chainrings on the Vigorelli and Bomber. Construction outside my building is a pain in the

Appreciate your sympathies but now my thoughts are with her enfant child/ husband who I'm sure will pass on her legacy of living life to the fullest.. Haven't nailed down a tire combo to matchup with the wheel set. Currently favouring a set of schwalbe Lugano's for all weather conditions. I've ridden them previously as a back tire and remember them to be confidence inspiring because of the micro tread and puncture protection... I can swap them between tan walls on the black wheel set to create a more retro look.

Serious question: did you ever consider new fresh bar tape?
