hahahaha no way

I'm not big though lol
To me a big bike can be so sexy though, I will await bike fit results though.

Indra, on a more serious note, I do think you quite possibly overstretch your legs. You said to me about how my saddle was 'really low' when it's above what most frames that geo would have. Take Jack up on his bikefit offer, and don't sell the seta till you have seriously ridden it long distances with all possible setups...

Also, you tried a shorter higher rise stem, it'll feel much less stretched.

I have taken him up on it, heading that way next weekend.
Overstretching is possible but I doubt it because I have my saddle at around the same height as other people with the same inseam. -
• #482
What is your inseam?
-
• #483
I still find it hard to believe you have a 37" inseam at 6'
-
• #484
Nah, it's a bit under.
I'll go take it again.
-
• #485
Just drop it a cm or so and see how it feels.

I have, hurts my knees.

They're probably still recovering from that silly big GI you had.

try moving it backwards and down - will take you away from the bottom bracket (giving you the extension) but also relieve some of the pressure on your knees.

and try running a brake, or a lower GI
-
• #490
My GI is about 65

I can't do this, it increases the reach and hurts me.

Indra - build up a cheap fixed beater with a brake, and do most of your riding on this. Then save YOUR PRECIOUS for the sunday quality-rides.
-
• #493
Don't worry, I ride the MTB about town.

Then put a shorter stem on!
-
• #495
Hell, just put some sweep back bar on.
-
• #496
Have a mad stubby one on the 29er, will stick it on but to be fair I'd rather have a frame that fits me and I can put normal components on.
-
• #497
give up and ride an mtb until you've done enough stretching to improve your reach
-
• #498
I stretch every day, that's not the problem, the TT is too long to use with normal components, why try and tell me that my flexibility is the problem?
Why don't I give you a bike with a TT 4cm longer than fits you and just say to stretch, of course you'd rather just have a frame that fits. -

how exactly does it hurt? If it's your lower back then you need to do more stretching and fit a stem with a rise on it. If it hurts your bits then you need to angle your saddle nose down a touch, or choose a saddle with a dipped nose like the Romin Evo.

This thread: lfgss gold.
Before you sell it why don't you spend a bit more time trying to set it up for you? Stop worrying about how it looks- to be really honest, given how big you seem to be, it's pretty unlikely you're going to be able to build a sexy bike: regardless of if it's custom or otp.
