I think going up a frame size would be better than getting a longer seatpost/shorter stem.

What reach you'd gain with a bigger frame size would surely be negated by the decrease in saddle to bar drop

The saddle to bar drop is made to look more severe because of the super size seatpost. This is one drawback of the compact geo. Maybe try an inline post. I wouldn't go for a stem less than 100mm on that size frame. It would look tiny.
