Yup, the lockring slipped on my way home and then stripped a mile later.

if your lockring slips you need to tighten it again asap as it can easily strip the hub if it can move. After putting a new sprocket on I carry a lockring tool around with me for a couple of weeks so I can tighten it as soon as it happens.

Yeah I figured, I didn't have a tool and that's why I had to go to evans to get them to do it.

I have now sorted my new wheels from Dimi and no slips so far, they feel solid as fuck too.

One time it slipped while I was by brick lane, so I stopped by Brick Lane Bikes thinking "they're a cool fixie shop, they should have a cool fixie lockring tool I can borrow for 2 seconds". They wouldn't lend me a proper one, only very reluctantly lent me a knock off of the Pedros Fixie Tool. I've never been back.

£27 got me the carbon slr-alike on the Cannibal, 90g but about a 3 week wait.

Ah from china I guess, I don't trust knock off carbon much I don't think and especially not if it's between my legs.
