Also, he's certainly a big lad, but he's snoozing next to me at the minute and looks absolutely massive.

This increased bird activity is keeping at least one of us busy during lockdown.

Took James to the vet today, after retrieving him from Thief of James.
Vets opinion was some sort of kidney issue, he's keeping James for 48 hours to re-hydrate him, and he's ordered some blood tests. Apparently James has lost some muscle on his rear legs also.
Hopefully we get him back (briefly, before ToJ steals him again) midweek.

Some times she makes a nest in the duvet, covering herself. But her tail is always free.
So boy cat likes the infinite monkey cage -

This is Timmy, he is 15. His elderly owner had Dementia and forgot he existed and didn't feed him. He was discovered and rehomed. His saviours were on holiday in NZ and got stuck in Covid lockdown. His cat sitter had to leave. I helped my across the hallway neighbours (NZ owner's friends) save him and bring him to ours. Now we co parent and he's my emotional support cat through the crazy.

Those eyes have seen so much. Timmy must be the cat sage.

Blood test results are back, no sign of kidney problems so it’s something else, vet thinks he can feel some thickening in James’ gut so has asked permission to do an ultrasound.
James is refusing food, but he’s a fussy bugger so that’s questionable as a diagnostic sign.

This tyre was in the garden when we moved in. Nothing we have tried to grow in it has been successful so happy it now has a use.

Years ago we used to let the neighbours cat have the run of our house. In actual fact I think it was him allowing us to live there, but I guess you get my drift. He was no scaredy-puss and we would hear him defend his patch next door from interlopers when necessary - not that we had any other mogs in our place. One day he started his daily summer round by strolling in through the patio door, doing a few leg circuits, head butts and receiving lap cuddles while we sat on the sofa. Then it was off up the stairs for a leisurely stroll around and a couple of hours on a warm sunlit bed. Not today though. As soon as he reached the landing he was back down the stairs and outside like a bullet. We had to investigate so with trepidation went upstairs to see if there was maybe a rabid dog or wild boar making itself at home. Nope: Peering out from the edge of the bath were two big yellow eyes......glued to a green novelty octopus-shaped sponge.
Millie the violent cat.
