Ah just noticed no collar.

Thanks for the advice all
I suspect it's a bit of a chancer as it has just walked off, presumably to find dinner elsewhere -

Looks in good condition, thin but just in a young cat kind of way, doesn't look like it's suffering! Don't feed.

Ours have returned twice in the last few days with an empty packet of cat food and torn it to bits. There are approximately 50 other cats within a 100m radius of us, so they could've found it anywhere. Seems a bit careless for someone to leave that out though. Also received our first avian offering this week amongst a few moths and a worm. Glad I wasn't home to deal with the bird!

Much stealth, very hidden. Wow.

You can pop one of these paper collars on the cat to let its owners know that it's been visiting.

First time in a few years I found both of them together. Amelie(white one) normally tells Mosley(fat grey one) to f**k right off!

Mogget caught a magpie, fuck knows how. Brought it into the house still alive, made an awful noise. When I went to investigate he scarpered outside with it. He has been being hammered by the remaining magpies all day, can't say I feel any sympathy for him.

Watching the telly last night and heard screeching. Looked over and saw an unfamiliar cat in full arched-back/fluffed tail mode in the middle of the kitchen. Seems to have just wondered in out of curiosity and bumped in to our fella, who seemed more interested than anything.
Shooed it out but it kept coming back to the door for stare-offs.

Yeah don't feed it. If you suspect it's abandoned you can flyer / knock around and maybe go to the vets to check for fleas and a microchip. You could put a note on the collar asking the owner to ring you... Probably just greedy. We've got a chatty chancer in our neighbourhood and it's fine but has no cat flap so flirts with everyone to get a cosy place during the day.
