royal canin maine coon food good but they went off it , still got a fucking huge bag they won't touch . At the end of the day , they are all healthy and have good teeth and coats , so I don't worry too much . I am sure if they were hungry enough and I stood still long enough they'd eat me . Morpheus the tabby one last week ate half a frozen joint that was defrosting ......
Can you donate the bag to Battersea or Celia Hammond perhaps?
Cats - fussy little buggers. (Except my Moses who will eat almost anything and often dives in to my dinner.)

Ouch! Is she OK?
Oh dear, is she alright?
She's fine, if a little hacked off in that photo.
She has stopped grooming herself effectively, and had developed severe matting which was starting to irritate her.
It looks bad because the skin is a bit raw in places where she had chewed, but it's no bothering her much, and she's otherwise chirpy and happy.
We this, as she is very good faecal communicator when she's unhappy.

Thinking about it, should have stuck to the original plan and got a black cat, Neighbours are rebuilding their house a couple of gardens away and Patch always comes back covered in dirt from the building site. Now she has 2 black patches just wouldn't fade away, I even tried cleaning them for her. if she was black, then we wouldn't have a problem, would we? White shows the last bit of dirt...
Awwww... In all seriousness, why are black cats so difficult to rehome? I rather like them. In fact, all cats are lovely, except the ones who are bullying my princess... -

Probably a totally stupid question, will my Patch get on with other breeds if I am really to get another cat? Quite fancy a NFC, not the ones showed in the link as not ready for a 2nd cat yet, but just in general... Everyone mutil cats homes here seem to have either same breeds...

Just got Morpheus back from vet . We got last night and he was upstairs on bed which was unusual , went out for beers and got home at 10:30 and he was still on bed . Not right , not himself and when I picked him up he wasnt happy , popped him on floor by food and he was limping , and ear was cut . Took to vet . Upshot is , vet believes was clipped by car , nothing broken but left paw very swollen , claws ragged and fur missing on his ears and mouth a bit cut . And he was in shock . Kept in overnight .
Wifey has just brought in from the vets , got to keep him in for 48 hrs , left paw is massive and swollen . Poor baby . -

Black cats are hard to photograph. Maybe not so much if you know something about photography, but they're hard for me to photograph anyway.

This is an interesting read on the subject of black cats. I stumbled upon it the other week - http://dailynewsdig.com/black-cats-halloween-bad-luck/

Most people have domestics/moggies (don't they?) so by their definition a mixture of breeds favoured for their friendly personalities. I don't think you have to worry so much about finding a suitable breed to match Patch, unless it's a breed known for being discriminative or anti-social (which the Norwegian Forest Cat isn't). Obviously rescue cats and mixed breed cats are the best :) -

Bare Necessities would know a lot more about cat relationships than me though :)

Having rescued three cats before our current breed , can say that neither moggies or rescue cats or pedigree cats are any better than each other . The one thing that you get with pedigrees is more of any idea of temprement . My brood get on equally well with any breeds ....they hate them all if the try and come in my garden !

Oh and I think that siamese hate all living things except other siamese ....

How's Morpheus doing? Poor thing :( Those sound more like fight injuries than being clipped by a car!

Hummm... to be honest, I will probably get another rescue cat, it's a nice thing to do and also it's cheaper. I am not willing to pay hundreds of pounds for a pedigree cat coz I am a cheapskate... might look into a kitten so Patch can play mummy once again...
lots of grooming tonight...
