  • One of my little bastards comes in last night, jumps on the sofa... and smells. Smells really bad.
Looked like he's had the shits and smeared a load of poo on the fur round his bum. Chased him around the house trying to wipe his arse, got the worst off but there was still poo abounding.
Shut doors to the living room and spare room so he at least couldn't pollute the sofa or bed.
Clean this morning thankfully.... mmm, poo licking.

  • gorgeous picture!

..also that one of opie on the previous page was superb..

  • great shot, lovely cat (except for the AM behaviour)

  • He's an awesome cat, but oh man he's a pain in the mornings.

  • Ours has just started to be a bastard in the morning again too. Maybe because sunrise is earlier...

  • Mine too! Hasn't woken me up for months. Then last night she was sitting on my head at 3am, and makiung an unholy racket outside the door at 5am

  • Pocket did the whole jumping from me to Mrs Wrongcog at 5am with heavy feet thing a few days ago. I'm trying to train it out of her so immediately took her into the other room and shut the door. Bit of yowling - which we duly ignored and then a load of banging - which we ignored then she bloody appeared in our room again! She's got up on a stool and dangled off the handle and opened the door. Clever girl! She settled down though so obviously got the message. They won't be told.

Yep, a closed door is no match for my cats. They have even learned how to let themselves in to the fridge.

  • We have two cats, and had a normal cat flap. We used to get two additional visitors ( a ginger and a black and white). Once woke up to find the black and white sitting on our dressing table staring at us. On the other hand the big fat ginger used to detonate the cat flap on the way out after eating our cats food.

Now have a chip reading cat flap and it's stopped all additional visitors, and our cats seem much happier and relaxed.

The black and white now comes and sits forlornly outside the cat flap looking in.

  • hah that face!

  • Ours have learnt to open the oven door, by pulling either the tea towel or oven mitts which hang on the door and then using the door as a stand to eat whatever we have left in there.

  • Ours have learnt to open the oven door

    ..ha, what the fuck!
A cat opening a fridge is new to me, but the oven? How strong are they??

  • A cat opening a fridge is new to me

it's an under counter one and Gomez is a pretty big and strong cat, also very greedy.

  • I love this photo.

  • i should buy a tank

  • hehe

  • call celia hammond re the ferals. they went and visited the colony I found in shoreditch but said the best thing was to leave them be but keep checking they were ok.

  • Chuffin norah. Got home after another shitty day churning out words in 6 minute chunks, started hanging up the laundry and skidded in a pool of cat phlegm. Then spotted the various piles of brown stuff that the bastard cats had deposited around the room. Couldn't tell whether it was crap or vomit, hard to tell with the stuff they eat. Blitzed the room with disinfectant, herded them outside and found that the catch on the catflap that prevents them getting back into the house is jammed.

    They're darned cute though.

  • After 7 years my cat has worked out she can touch my face whilst I'm sleeping and I will react and she will get attention to make it stop. Just puts a paw on my cheek and waits for rubs and then wanders off.

  • it took a long time... mine worked it out after about 2 months... then I have leant if I pretend I am still sleeping... she does not give up...

  • ^this.

although today was a rare morning where Gomez slept right through and I was woken up by my alarm for a change.

  • It's the persistence that baffles me. I know they have only three things on their mind (four if they haven't had their bits chopped off) - so I can understand the concentration but the relentless tapping, jumping and meowing is insane. Playing dead achieves nothing.
