Their existing cat is understandably a bit freaked out, these ones are going to be huge.

@Dammit - Higgs and James update?
Little tricky as I've been in Colorado this past week, however:
- Higgs is getting thinner, and is noticeably "springier", she's now making jumps which she would not even attempt (onto the windowsill for e.g.) when we initially shut the cat flap.
The food that (a fairly incredible number of) the neighbours was giving her was (of course) treats - Dreamies, that kind of thing, so incredibly high in calories, and Higgs doesn't know how to say no.
I'm not sure that we'll be able to let her out again, although maybe one of those collars that say "I'm diabetic, don't feed me".
- James is still very keen to escape, he goes for a run down the corridor whenever one of us get home, but does dash straight back in again.
He comes and sits on the sofa between the girlfiend and myself, and is very keen for attention. I just don't know if he'll scarper when the cat flap is next opened.
I'm tempted to keep them in for another 2-3 weeks tbh, and as I say Higgs maybe for good.
It it very nice having them both around the house after the long absence.

Your neighbours are pretty out of order really, feeding up cats that don't belong to them to an unhealthy state. But then again, I suppose they didn't think the cats weren't getting fed elsewhere, which I suppose is true. It's all Tesla's fault really.

To be honest, I think a lot of people feed other peoples cats with loads of treats and / or human foods. When I was away for a long time last year, I left Patch with my now ex boyfriend, he knew very well that Patch is on a strict diet, not that she has any health issue or overweight, but I think it's good to keep good habits from a young age. I left him enough food for my entire duration away... And guess what? When I got back, I was shocked at the type of food she has been eating and what was brought for her... It was probably half cat food half human food and brands of cat food that I ban for ethical reasons...
The cat indeed had some jolly time as far as eating went...

Does anyone want a box of Go-Cat? We bought it as an emergency stop gap and the response it got was one of affront and disdain.

I've got 4kg of Iams kitten kibble going spare if anyone has a cat under the age of one. Bought a huge bag and had to abruptly change food when Newton had his urinary problems.

Can you donate it to a cat home? Where about are you? If you are en route my daily commute I will come pick it up and drop it at CHAT in Lewisham.

Ah ginger cats and food raiding.
In irrelvant news, to those that had met him the ginger tripod has shuffled off his mortal coil to scavenge the great bin in the sky.

Ah, that is cute. The cat is saying you are too skinny.

After months of being a happy indoor cat Catface has decided he wants to play outside. I don't mind this (except his odd times he wants to go out & if I don't let him out he becomes unbearably vocal & extremely grumpy) as he seems to enjoy his random half hour of fresh air a couple of times a day. We had just got to the point where his fur had grown back & instead of using up his energy scratching & pulling fur out he became more playful. My main worry is now that he may be bitten whilst he is out, causing the horrific skin & fur situation we had before due to his flea allergy. Hopefully I am just being paranoid, but I cant bear to see him like that again.
Here he is with all his fur being too lazy to attack my knitting.

I've emailed a couple of the local cat charities in my area and got no reply :( I guess they don't trust an opened bag? I'm in the Paddington area so no where near lewisham I'm afraid.

Cut a little hole in the bottom of the bag and then go for a walk around the block, laying a trail of cat sweeties. See how many cats (or fictional german children) you can steal.

I see, I guess an open bag might not be a good idea... at least you tried...

One of my bastards jumped up on the bed this morning, demanding his morning cuddles. Only this morning, he'd gone and dipped the end of his tail in his own obviously very sloppy shit. So that was nice, adding insult to my being up half the night on a will-i-won't-i-be-sick nauseous sick feeling.

I really shouldn't have laughed, but I am sorry I did...
Depends, does the cat eat the bunnies or leave them as gifts?
