It hasn't been long since Tesla left though, has it?
Totes this.
From your perspective, you've had many, many months of "when am I going to get my cats back? I gave them everything they wanted a few weeks ago and still they won't do what I want them to do :( "
From Higgs and James' perspectives, they've had many, many months of "my home is full of terror and menace and I've had to spend months living in a chimenia / broken down taxi / box hedge just to feel like I have a modicum of security D: "
They will get over it, but probably not quickly. When you move a cat to a new house it's recommended to keep them exclusively indoors for at least 6 weeks because that's how much time it takes them to reset their habits and expectations. IMO you should be aiming for a similar period of time for this, even if they make loads of noise at 3am, cry to be let outside, and piss in your shoes when you're not looking.
Remember - they think living outside, with all the dangerous outside shit, is safer than living with the Threat Of Tesla, and they had quite a long time to develop that sense. They'll be worried for quite a long time that she's going pop up again and claw them to tufts.

She's quite cute, no?
-

6 weeks eh? Ok, I shall intern them for 6-8 weeks when I get back from Malta.
If they don't respond to that I'll glue their feet to the robot vacuum cleaner.

She is incredibly cute and was meowing her head off as soon as she heard a key go in the front door. She did attack me a little bit when I stopped stroking her, little diva.

She likes fuss several times a day... But not more!
I'm really glad you've been able to pop in to keep her company. -
• #4383
I was going to suggest this too, but for at least 12 weeks minimum. They are your cats ffs. Okay, they are cats that from time to time allow you the privilege of their company, but you need to lay down the law.

Be careful with Vacuum, ensure there are enough cloaks of invisibility available.

My cat usually goes on the balcony, rarely goes on the top edge of the balustrade. However last time we were there enjoying the sun and the weather and she jumped on it, walked left an right a few times, then started to lean forward along the balustrade (it's like a wall, but going diagonally forward and down) like if she wanted to jump (third floor, quite a jump it would have been.)
We stopped her, but still wondering if she'd have indeed been so stupid to jump! -

My brother has been asked to rehome two Norwegian Forest Cats. Does anyone know anything about them?
I have a vague idea that someone once told me they can go a bit feral and some choose to live outside, but I may have imagined it. -

They look superb though!

• #4390
They eat a lot due to their size?

Higgs came in of her own accord last night and went to sleep on the bed.
She had been out in the driving rain for hours, mind you.

My cat Opie is half Bengal, Half Norwegian Forest Cat. The vet said he was going to be huge but he never grew past kitten size. He's very fucking loud though, and can get pretty aggressive with my other cat though. I'm not sure if thats a Bengal trait or a NF trait.

Still, that will reinforce the idea that the bed/indoors is sanctuary, rather than under a bush/car.

Size not a problem. I used to have a Maine Coon, so I recon that is the proper size for a cat.

Any pics of these NFCs?
-
• #4396
No NFCs here (thank fuck)
Got an early morning mauling the other day, claw marks to collar bone and bite to wrist as me being asleep and not responding to "it's 4.30am it's whiskers time" i moved my arm and got savaged.
I didn't feed the cat (wifey did)However the other week i had a present left in my jeans leg........
Love hate and whiskers time.

I have requested pics, all I know is that they are still very young, and both kind of ginger.

I got offered a Bengal a couple of years ago as it didn't get on with the ginger tom.
This was a farm and the owner did tell me the Bengal would feed itself on pheasants and anything else smaller than a sheep :)
I declined to rehome it. -

I never saw the Bengal i was offered as it was busy hiding in the fields killing things.
Waking up with the current fluffy vicious tiger claw fang monster..... sitting on your chest, batting you on the nose or forehead to remind you that now (whatever the time may be) is whiskers time, and deftly jabbing a claw into your top lip, and several friendly headbutts, and if you dare to awake in shock and make a sudden movement then you are open to attack.....
Really glad we have a small cat :) still hurts.....
flying or lying ?
