No litter tray was provided but Miles has already broken the seal in her one while she was off sulking so fuck knows if he'll be permitted a re-run or if he'll be running all over my carpet instead...
He's done this on purpose, FYI. Cats will dominate litter trays as it's a very effective way of terrorising another cat by making them too scared to use the toilet in case they get jumped (you're vulnerable when you're pissing, obvs). The terrorised cat will therefore piss on or under your bed instead, as it's the only place they can go safely.
If you don't want Penny to piss on or under your bed, keep Miles away from her litter tray.

Cats are just lovely, ain't they??
(Not)

Miles has vanished.
In a sealed, 3 bed flat this is quite an astonishing accomplishment, so I'm a little concerned.

Less than 24 hours, cat lost. Or distraught and in hiding. Oh dear.

check in drawers, cupboards etc. cats are magicians when it comes to hiding. Bringing a new cat to OG cats lair was never going to go well really.

Why didn't the two respective cat owners say this and save me the distress? I've a fucking project hand in in 2 hours and am instead looking in unlikely nooks and crannies rustling a bag of Dreamies...

Fold up a freshly laundered, dark fabric-item, and leave it somewhere such as on the bed- I reckon Miles will hear it's siren song and be sitting on it in under half an hour

Ignore them. They'll come out of hiding when they're ready.

• #3386
Eat the Dreamies yourself, wash down with the whisky you have been given, and stop with the worrying..

This. There's nothing to gain by dragging them out of their respective hiding places and trying to force them to be friends. As discussed earlier, don't let them near each other's litterboxes, and try to keep them separated. The procedure on that link I gave you exists for the alleviation of precisely the symptoms that you are observing now. It's too late to start again properly, so all you can do is let them be and hope they don't murder each other before Penny goes home.

Cats can take years to warm to each other.
If it's only a temporary arrangement, you are probably best off focusing on mitigating the fallout.
I think we all know what I mean by "fallout".

In other news - My little cardboard and foil construction has done wonders in preventing digging at the door in the middle of the night.
Except now it sounds like they have a new game that involves body slamming each other on the landing and "oops-I-seem-to-have-slammed-into-the-door. again. and again."
Fleabag bastards.

Found at last. Now licking his ass in front of me safely locked away from the obese Penny's vicious attacks...

I don't think they'll ever realise how much stress they induce. Butter wouldn't melt.

...cat-sitting four little rascals at the moment that don't get along well in the first place. Oh boy.
Did completely forget how unsocial cats can be, ha!
