  • Maia's learned how to take a selfie...

    Needs practise.

  • I can see it fine. Pretty beast!

What do cats generally know about roads? Ours is now out and about a breached the sanctuary of our compound today. Will she die?

  • I thought she was a stray and you found her in your garden? I am sure if she was fine then she will be fine now...

  • You're right of course. She was a kitten then though. Not sure where in hell she'd come from. It's scary watching them fuck off isn't it!!!

  • He (opie)

It's a puppy harness, we were taking him for a walk in the park. He's generally an indoor cat but we take him to the park and he likes to climb trees.

Does he climb trees wearing his harness and lead? Isn't that a bit risky? He looks great though.

Oh yes, I remember the first week I let Patch out, she would only go out for like an hour at a time and would come running back if I shake her dry food box etc... then there was 1 day, she was gone for like 2 hours, I couldn't recall her so I went to knock on my neighbours' doors at 11am when she had barely gone for a couple of hours... then of course she came back... and the next day, the next week, the next month if she is not back by a certain time, me and the boyfriend would go into a panic mode...

Now I just let her be, if she is hungry, she will come back...

In fact, I am pretty sure she has made herself an indoor cat... she is always here...

Any special training or encouragement? We took one of ours (One of the swaggering beats) and it was pure panic! This was an empty park too. The thing that completely stumped me is he was never an indoor cat. He was born and bred in the wilds behind our former abode. Battle hardened and all. yet now....nada! Straight back into the box.

He kind of runs halfway up the trunk and then does a backflip off, in the picture there he's only about head height, we never let him get higher than that.

When I'm at home and on my own computer I'll upload some videos of him doing it.

EDIT. Had a quick scan of youtube to see if I had any videos of him climbing trees, I dont, but I did find this video of him defending his sweetcorn when he was really little. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kMOlAh6VguY&feature=share&list=UU-qKHbvkZINKaGKY9-n6uZg&index=1

I dont know if its classed as special training but we started taking him out on a lead as soon as he was old enough to go outside (after he had his injections)

We always knew he wasnt going to be allowed out on his own but we didnt feel right about keeping him indoors all the time. It took him a few trips before he felt properly comfortable with the harness. He still shits a brick if a stranger tries to stroke him though, he's not in to that at all.

We have to be eagle eyed about dogs too, because theyre always running around off the lead, he's not scared of them at all but I'd hate to see who would win in a fight if it did kick off.

  • That sweetcorn video is well funny.

  • if the backdoor is open this thing comes into my kitchen meowing for leftovers

    really soft and good tempered

  • do you think it's a stray? It looks well looked after though...

  • i'm sure it has a home
it just wanders through the back gardens looking for some extra attention

  • My cat in London used to come back in the house smelling of fag smoke, God knows where he'd been.

  • Out for a fag.

  • ^ hahaha....

  • Oh Hai, did I wake you?

  • ^hehehe... that is so cute... mine did the same this morning...

  • What sort of cat is this beauty?

  • his father is a Bengal and his mother is a Norwegian Forest Cat, so whatever one of them is.

  • Oh Hai, did I wake you?

    awww, he so handsome.

  • "Seriously, who needs to study when you have a cat like me?"

    Yes boss...
