No, My cat likes me singing Shirley Bassey songs. Any music and he comes and sits near me and meows.

I love my cat and not only do I talk to her, I also sing to her. Am I weird?
That's so cute!
So where does your partner fit in to this?
-
• #1629
She play the cello.

He usually just rolls his eyes and says something like "So she speak English now, dose she? Do you not think she juts wants to be left alone?" He is probably right as Patch doesn't really respond to my signing to her, she is indifference, I think.
Ed, she is a HE!

..and it's not a cello, but a marching bass drum.

my cats absolutely love eating flies in summer - eugh

I tried the singing, Ripley responded with a series of plaintive meows. Sadly she was more in tune than I was.

An onion.

^ I feel your pain...
You ought to be careful with onions, they are not good for cats... (Anyone who knows it's not true please feel free to correct me!)
-
• #1636
yes, if they chop them it can make their eyes water a bit
-
• #1637
Not eating it fortunately. It's a baby one that my wife pulled up from the garden and now Newt is kicking it around the kitchen. Doesn't seem to be doing any harm.
-
• #1638
So it's basically a ball for her?
dicki, onions can be toxic for cats and dogs... so it might be a little more serious than watery eyes...
-
• #1639
T-rex kitty either cute or freaky I can't decide.

They say his spine is doing well, so I hope the guy stays healthy his whole life.

Patch doesn't seem to be too happy lately... admittedly, I have been spending less time to play with her, so that might be a reason. However, despite the weather being a little brighter and less rainy this last week, she seems to have made herself an indoor cat most of the time, she only goes out maybe twice a day and only an hour each time, she spends most of the rest of the day lying on her (my) chair like a lump of meat. She is still demanding food at the crack of dawn and eating normally, but has been getting more clingy... is she just bored? Or is it the weather? Or should I be worried?? Anyone? Any idea?
-
• #1642
She'll get over it. Probably just a phase.
-
• #1643
I hope so... I really do. Going to the vet is stressful for both of us... Think she has gotta herself a cold now, so maybe the virus was brewing in her body hence the disengagement...
-
• #1644
Could just be a fever or like you say, a cold. Even though she hates the vets (all pets do), it might be worth going if she's still not feeling too hot after a week or so of this.
-
• #1645
Dont worry too much, cats are resilient bastards.

• #1646

No worries if she eats, and does not stay sort-of depressed for weeks.
Cats are not "happy"-24/7-animals. -
