Put him on a leash? That’s what we do with ours even though I’ve got a gated garden. He’s only allowed off the leash when we’re outside as well. He’s quite the adventurous one.

So cute!
Our first cat was a British Shorthair blue, now sadly departed. She was a great companion.

Does anybody else have a cat that objects to you fixing your bikes?
Anytime I touch a bike with a tool or even go to pump up the tires one of my cats starts chattering. Not in a cute way, more like dismissive and annoyed. The other cat doesn't care.
Strangest thing.

One my previous Maine Coons would literally steal something from you (piece of bar tape / bolt / nut / tool) to make sure you're giving him some attention as well. I think that's it mostly, making sure you don't forget about them.

Waily has started rubbing himself up Simon's bike chain, Simon has had to move his bike. He currently has a long streak of oil going the length of his white fur. Have tried to clean him but he's having none of it.

Following my last post, Minette went to the vet on Monday. They had to drain some fluids from behind her chest and took another sample of a large mass she has inside her abdomen.
Test results came back today.
As expected it's not good.
Some form of cancer.
We have pretty much decided to keep her as comfortable as possible for as long as possible while avoiding surgery. She is 14-16 y.o. ( est.) and the risks of losing her during or after any surgery are too high.
Today has been a shit day. -

So sorry to hear that. That’s such shit news. Poor old girl. I hope you can make her comfortable for a while.

my cat is terrified of the pump. If you touch it he sprints for the door

@Mucker such a cutie and a very pretty collar too
@EagleEyez so sorry. Never a good thing to hear. Enjoy every day and think about how fantastic a life you’ve given her.
I’m looking at getting a new pet tracker. Is anyone currently using one they would recommend. I had one before but it didn’t turn out too well. Lots of faulty ones and then finally the one that worked came off and the foxes chewed at it before I could find it.

A lot of cats are scared of anything resembling a stick/club. Ours is the same.
She does tolerate me working on the bikes (although that really happens often these days). -

We have removed the collar now, he seems happier without it.
Undecided on if he’ll be venturing outside, if he does then the collar will go back on. If he stays inside, no collar.

Need some help/advice.
We’ve got two cats in the flat at the moment. One we’ve adopted after fostering her for a few month, the other is a stray we were asked to pick up and look after for a few days by the cat fostering charity.
One month later we’ve still got him. He’s lovely, affectionate and likes lots of attention (he was a stray but hung out in a local florist most of the time). He’s about 10yrs old, pretty chilled and just wants attention and begs for food after being spoilt in the shop.
He is so much better after a month of grooming, decent food, flea treatment and insulin injections. So much so that he’s stronger and wants to explore and roam the flat but the two cats really hate each other and both want to claim territory in the flat. So much so he’s started pissing on a sofa and on the stairs to mark territory.
Unfortunately the foster charity are proving to be a bit useless plus are overwhelmed with cats and people wanting to adopt/foster. Despite promises they are not anywhere closer to finding another foster home that could take him on until he gets adopted.
So we’re stuck. We do keep them separated but feel really bad for him, both cats are stressed and not much we can do.
Any advice other than keep pestering the charity? Tips on keeping them calm? Tried introducing them over time but both get pretty aggro on site of each other.
Feeling a bit desperate, any experienced cat fosterers on here that could take him on for a while until he gets adopted? Lovely cat but this isn’t the right set up for him.

back yard cat brought in a mouse for back yard kitty v.2
at first i thought it was jut a bit of iris in its mouth, but then spotted a tail and then the mouse, not moving at all so it won't be scurrying around the house later, wonder if the iris was the veg to go with the meat course
kitty has it in it's mouth and is chasing up and down the corridor maybe snack timehere are byc and byk ( peel ) in more relaxing times
the mouse on a string behind is how i've been training them, seems to be working
is it too early to get a young kitten hooked on catnip ?

I can recognise this situation and realise how stressful it can get. My suggestion is try to re-home him yourself to a friend, or friend of a friend.
We had a stray end of last year we took in, and he was incompatible with our cat, the more his confidence grew the worse they got with each other.
Woke up one night with him spraying in our bedroom where we had kept him out of for our own cat 😂
We got our own cat (also originally a stray) via a friend of a friend on Facebook, and re-homed the stray last year with one of my colleagues friend.
6 months on and they and he couldn't be happier, we still get updates all the time and the situation is so much better for both cats.

Here’s Maurice - 12 weeks old. Arrived home on Friday and has been so chilled. No accidents, find his litter tray every time. Wish we got a cat sooner
