Today is the day I was asked to weigh James, he's up to 3.9 from the 3.7 he was when I collected him from the vet. I'm aiming for the 4.2 that he used to be before ToJ entered the picture.

Both of our pair lost a lot of weight over the last three months or so. We've upped their kibble to the point where they have spare in their kibble balls that they can graze on throughout the day.

Higgs is a mighty 6.7kg so I've moved her food (dispensed by robot-feeder) down. Be good to get her to around 6 I think. She looks a bit like a cushion at the moment.

What cat food do you feed your cat?
We have a kitten coming in a few weeks, he will be 12 weeks old when he arrives.
Not sure what is best to buy?
Would prefer dry food as it’s less smelly. -

Half raw, half Iams/Sainsbury's hypoallergenic (has a high meat content) kibble. Pouches give Herman the shits.

RIP Freddy, lovely casket.
Re: food, Fleur is on 50:50 wet and dry(hers a specific Hills ones for her delicate stomach). Vet was very firm with us there needs to be both.

Herman like a lot of cats prefers kibble, so when I give him the kibble he either has to chase it, or I hide it and he has to find it.

We split Fleurs biscuits into multiple little sauce dishes and hide them around the flat as otherwise she noms her whole serving in one hit and pukes. She used to have a ball we filled with biccies but she worked out she could just wedge it against the wall and roll it back n forth to empty it.
She gets 2x wet and 2x dry meals a day. Seems to work for her.

Am so sorry to hear. My thoughts are with you.

Ah mate, that’s so sad, at this time too. At least she was at home of sorts. 15 is not a bad age for a cat, and remember it’s quality, not quantity. Sleep well Fred, and sorry for your loss.

See what the kitten likes, i tried to raw feed mine, with food delivered in freezer vans. The food came in cubes but the cats didn't like it.
Then I went on to royal canin kitten nibbles and wet food.
Get it/them used to having teeth brushed.
Oh and congrats get plenty of scratch posts and it will still destroy your soft furnishings.
Sorry to hear that, rest in peace Fred.
