  • mudgaurds. or at least fitting the goddamned fucking things to a bike without mudgaurd eyelets.

stressed . annoyed . pissed off .with a wet arse .

you want a fucking fight mr fucking mudgaurd. take up two fecking hours of my time on my day off , then slip , and fuck my ride up ever again. ill fucking kill you.

  • enve stem.
    and
    3ttt scattos and sphinx.

  • Not really a part but

  • and all their guises

I **really **hate 'Tache bars. Especially with brakes mounted like that.

    EURGH.
Any kind of chainguard/protector (dork disc too) even more so on 'retro' builds.

Any flat bar/riser/biro/lump of material used as bars on a 700c

Front panniers. Already fighting gravity, don't need any more help with imbalance.

    Any coloured anodizing (cept black)

Coloured chains, BRifters, wheel reflectors, novelty dustcaps, those stupid 2" wraps on toptubes

    how ironic....

I hate 'strapped' pedals, like handicam straps on your feet you know?
Plastic bags on your saddle, your brookes saddle is shit too. Hate sloping toptubes, hate 'hybrid' Hate flipflop hubs, hate hate hate non aero shifters (unless they're the two levered kind ;) ) Hate braze ons, hate bottle cages, hate big ass MTB pedals. Mini bike pumps, tyre levers, copper chain breakers, suspension seatposts.

    these QR's

Don't care who makes, stop selling 'em.

I'll have more by the time I get home

  • Hate flip flop hubs yet joins a fixed/single speed forum. They're main part of a fixed/single speed bike.

  • You wouldn't have a flipflop on an SS
You wouldn't have a flipflop on a Fixed
You may have one on a confused bike owned by a confused ride who just wants to 'fit in'
You may even join a FG&SS forum when you don't currently have an fixed/single set up.

I stand by my hate ;)

  • Hate braze ons? So you don't like nearly bikes with breaks or gears? You also hate drinking water while riding?

  • I hate these

    and

D-lock brackets. Even more that there is a thread on cyclechat discussing placement.

I hate branded rim tape, bar tape and rims. Most decals infact. A logo is much different.
I hate aero helmets, nitto bars, jerseys, team kits and all that kinda pro gear used for everydayness.
I hate stabilizers that touch the ground.

  • Hate braze ons? So you don't like nearly bikes with breaks or gears? You also hate drinking water while riding?

My commuter is geared. I took the FD off. Looks super clean, braze ons don't.
    Also, grams man!

    FTW

  • Right you are talking shit now. You know that break cable stops, mud guard eyelets and fd (some) mounts are braze ons right? The branded tape and rims thing is nonsense too. Most branded tapes and rims are obviously higher quality. A camel back is heavier than a couple of bottles and cages, also sweaty back.

  • sweaty back.
    this, so this.

  • Also, grams man!

If i shaved my hair off it would lighten the load more than killing the brave brazed bits on le frame

  • ^^ Would sound like you're the kind of bloke that puppy kills lovely old road frames to make into sweet fixays.

  • If i shaved my hair off it would lighten the load more than killing the brave brazed bits on le frame

    You sasquatch ;)

As to sweaty back, htfu. I don't really ride for sport. I'll usually keep a bladder in my bag with all the other lovelies on a long ride.
    .
I'm no kinda bloke to change a bikes heritage nevermind anything else.

  • Cept the tyres/rims(mebbe)

Triples too. I hate them on my MTB

  • When one is as hairy as me, sweat back is a major issue.

    Agreed

    and the very devil:

  • Great thread. Can't believe I've missed it.

Quill stems and threaded headsets. Fuck 'em.

    Basically anything made by Campagnolo.

A necessary evil. When wearing trousers, tell me a better solution to stop them rubbing/getting caught in the chain. And don't say rolling trousers up or tucking them into your socks. Cause that looks shit.

But you are right on the fluro ones. You wouldn't catch me using them.

  • you don't have a leg to stand on when you name yourself after miche

    Repped.

  • All I can see is a crude drawing of shaved testicles, and you'd have to be a heartless, soulless bastard to hate drawings of shaved testicles.

  • ^must spread

  • You wouldn't have a flipflop on an SS
You wouldn't have a flipflop on a Fixed

Does a double-fixed hub count as a 'flip flop'? If so... I do, and I did.
Some of us just want to build up a 120-spaced frame for 'assorted riding' using a half-decent quality OTP 'fixie' wheelset.

I hate lock brackets too, but tbh I usually hate the sort of bikes they're attached to anyway.
Triples can also fuck off, on any bike.
Some decals are ok. Some logos are utter arse, eg Mountain Cycle, Rocky Mountain, Intense and a few other surprisingly expensive MTB brands. Clavicula and Lightweight are of course MS Word jokers too.

  • With a list like that, seems register just hates bikes.
