I was always told it's for fat and tall people. I was thinking of getting a pear to test them out. Should be more comfortable on rides of over 100 miles.

I am tall and fat, so can't argue with that... But I think the majority of cyclists wear them, and they are anything but fat.

.. Also, my gf thinks bib shorts are sexy, in a 1920s strong man sort of way....

you hate hetchins, that's fine. I don't. bib shorts, well, fair enough - I like them, and having chamois is, after toilet paper, the second best thing that is happening to my ass.
