Show us, part for part, how the hell this cost £1750?
I can't see, even at rip off prices, how it could be more than £700 - £800 or so brand new.

Sweet jeebus.
Well, I see no Cinelli tape, so he can knock that off....

damn.
just think of the bike you could have bought for that money.
I'm almost impressed by BLB's derring-do on this one.

Whats the 10% they add in the end? Is that for building it, ie more expensive the more the bike costs?
Reading that price list it just seems like a lot of slightly overpriced parts in one place. Poor homework by the buyer perhaps, but BLB is a shop and have to make a living somehow, and they've never claimed to be cheap.

10% hipster tax?
Or was it bought through a cycle scheme...

TM have you read any of the other posts on this thread?

Yes. Are you not satisfied with my response to kboy's question?

BLB are 'just making a living' out of over charging people who don't know better. I know LBS have to survive by being 'overpriced' compared to Wiggle et al, but something tells me they probably don't offer impartial advice.
Hence the £100 BLB brake lever and caliper - something with a huge profit margin for them, presumably. -

I remember I went into buy some risers for a build, the price changed about 5 times until I actually saw the price they were meant to be.

they're suck a pack of wolves in sheeps clothing those bicycle skidder

There are some decent parts on there, I think you'd get a better price if you a) split it out and b) took some decent photographs- the ones you've posted aren't selling it right now, and it's hard to actually make out much in the way of detail.

Someone help this lad part it out, so far from the cycling community all he has experienced is being over charged then ridiculed.
If you're near E3 I have tools I can lend.
Sorry if I've missed something... -

It's going to be a tough pill to swallow losing all that money.

but the person losing the money is sadly no longer here
OP should split, get what he can, and not worry about BLB or the trolls
Or he could tell BLB to sell the bike in store

that might actually be the best idea yet.
let them have a look at it and the reciepts and see what they can sell it for.

F&F - £300-350
Wheels + tyres - £150
Chainset - £30-40
bars - £20
stem - £25
pedals and straps - £35
Brake and lever - £45
saddle - £10
seatpost - £25Parted out at reasonable prices I make £700, more than I was expecting.
But yeah, pretty much exactly 50% of the new price, which is why where possible I buy my parts used.

Good idea.
I think most people are offering help since OP said it wasn't his purchase, to be fair.
Just seen its 631 tubing on frame
