Although I've never been a fan of that stem, but that's just personal taste.
Similar level of components on Ed's, also.
Do they honestly charge £1350+ for a Vigorelli build?
Seems shocking to me, but never bought an OTP so have no idea on costs.

I broke up a used 52 cm Bob Jackson bike with Phil Wood wheels, Sugino 75 drive train and Cinelli bars and stem for £600 or so.
Rule of thumb is that if you ride it, that's 50% off what you paid for it unless something incredibly desirable.

Ah, couldn't quite make out the label and the ends were putting me off.
Still, Vigorelli new for what, £300?A new Vigorelli is £414, Delivery £18, Paul track ends £65 (jokes). Can't remember what the custom geo charge is, £100 maybe? A new one in any standard size/colour would set you back about £430.

Seems very reasonable. Fuck knows what BLB would charge for a frame with decent parts.

£1,000,000

BLB have a lot to answer for on that one
I'm struggling with the maths - £800 for the frame, £300 for the wheels, chainset £90, bars £50, BB£50 ....?? -

This is what a grand buys here for comparisons sake, OP.

Well, in that case I really think that some good quality photographs will help you get as close as possible to your target selling price.
Listing the components would probably help, also.
Components.

WOWCH. £50 for brake lever and £50 for own brand caliper? And another £35 for own brand pedals?
Although I suppose BLB is the home of the 'Fixie Revolution' in London and they do have their own range in H&M, so, ya know...

How much have you ridden this? And why would you just sell it on after paying that much money such a short time ago....?
-
• #37
OP, sorry if this seem like an attack on you: it's not.
Split your bike up and sell the parts, you will hopefully recoup some of your outlay.
There's no way you'll get back what you paid, unless you get busy with one of these. -

Not much from what I understand. It was a friend's brother's bike who sadly passed away recently.

OP - if you want I'd be happy to help you break it down into parts to sell

Christ, £1350. Fuck me.
Even speaking as an atheist....these words could be interpreted as blasphemy! I wonder if he would have accepted the offer?

Sorry to hear that. There are plenty of people on here who will help you break it down and sell it, but you won't sell it as a whole bike for that price. Try... £500 or so?

To be fair, BLB have got some fucking balls.
What's the tubing? 531?
Frame TOPS £300. Wheelset, £150, the rest... Hipster tax.This. London hipsters. :)

Take up the offers to split it up. It's definitely worth it. Please also ignore the criticism, obviously it wasn't your choice to build it up like this. We can probably all agree it's an ugly bike but the OP is just doing his best to help out a mate.

• #44
How much would it realise as parts?
-
• #45
Depending on generosity and desirability about £700-800
-
• #46
Frame perhaps £400 if it's in very good condition, wheels £150, crankset and pedals.. £50, bars and stem £40.
Other people might come up with something different.
LFGSS tends to be mate's rates, you could try eBay if you wanted to get more.
