• They're MINE I tell you!!

  • Great ride guys, glad I managed to get out andade record time on that, hope George got home ok.

Great to get some more trail miles in, always interesting.

  • I can do Wednesday. If there's nobody else signed up I can give you the tour of Dorking / Peaslake if you fancy going further afield.

Cheers for the offer Howard - I'm quite familiar with quite a few of those trails. I think I'll stay 'local' for now though.

Hopefully should have mmccarthy along for Wednesday's ride.

I did fine. I still blame my tiny wheels and shitty tyres for slowing me down. Totally.

Seriously though, great to meet you three, (and dimi3 and Shoosh too!) It is nice in deed to get some miles off the road in. I don't wanna sell it now :(

  • George, just sell and if anything use the money to get the steamroller more suitable for off road.

For me that's risers and 38c tyres but you may go freewheel, 2 brakes and 38.

Hear that George, you have Indra's permission :-)

  • That's only because he took a large break from riding fixed ;)

  • ^ Me too.

    About 36 years I think?

  • Also, very good to meet Shoosh and Stedlocks for the first time :)

  • Wednesday's start time is unspecified as yet ( about 11:00? ) as I need to check when 'peak time' on the trains has finished.

  • Wednesday 29th May

  • Who was the fella who did the slow mo cartwheel in the mud? Get him back in for Wednesday!

    With no handbags!! :0)

I might be going to Ireland Wednesday, so cant commit..... I'm taking a bike with me though!

Oh, and shoosh, thanks for the cakeage!!

  • What time would you plan on finishing on Wednesday? I might do this instead of Thursday.

Worth pointing out it's been a while since I have done a long ride, so I hope it's not too far and too quick.

Well, from what I read here it looks like the cycle restrictions on Greater Anglia trains are on services running the opposite direction to the ones you guys would want.

nneil - The ride pace will be based on the capabilities of the slowest rider ( Indra ) and there are loads of stops for rest and refuelling. Whilst Saturday's ride lasted 4.5 hours, there was only 2.5 hours of actual riding.

As you're the only person I have down for Thursday, if you'd like to do Wednesday instead, I'll probably cancel Thursday's ride.

I'm currently thinking of starting at 11am and finishing about 3pm.

  • @Howard - Will you be extending your handlebars* before Wednesday ;-)

    *not a euph

Considering putting the risers back on it, or might just ride another bike ;)

    Splendid idea!

  • I do need a Cotic Rocket in my life...

  • I think my next move is to convert the Ogre to fixed & brakeless.

After all, it's clearly all that anybody really needs :-D
