  • ^ As OP - 'interest' book closes end of January and we'll make the 'invitations' known via PM and here during the first week in February, along with the reserves. Gives everyone at least 6 weeks notice.

  • The 'Book of Interest' is now closed for the North v South tournament and we will now be pulling the tournament together and then confirming those teams/lineups including reserves that have made the cut - can those below please now confirm.

Any individual South-based players that have northern connections/blood/spirit - please contact me this week via PM if interested in a place on the North team.

  • Sweet

  • Ryan cam and ed on a team together is gonna be pretty hard to beat

  • I hereby declare the middle of Canada to be Edmonton, which is as far north as Doncaster. That gives the team at least two out of three northerners.

  • Putyourself on a Northern team Punkture!

  • Now, now Woody, there's no need to threaten things like that.

  • Sandbaggers - confirmed.

  • dt,chris,b confirmed

  • Ryan cam and ed on a team together is gonna be pretty hard to beat

Depends on the size of the court, but yes, it's going to be pretty tough.

  • Depends on the surface of the court, but yes, it's going to be pretty tough.

    .

  • True. Can you post some pics of the court, preferably a video of you playing on it.

    Is it slippy?

  • Of me playing on it?

Some images above - I'd say it's a tad wider/longer than Hackney with a similar full cage set up. We'll have 12/14" running boards around the walls to negate the irregular/irritating ball deviations and have referee/goal judges on external cage-mounted shelves, that give them a clear view over the top of the walling. There will be a no-contact with the walling/no barging others into walling rule - like Hackney, it can be a real cheese-grater otherwise. The surface is every bit as grippy as Hackney (the best I've played on in the wet too) and a fair bit smoother/more even than Bristol. It also has lights for throw ins on Friday until 9.45pm - or if we run late on Saturday.

  • We getting full boards sorted? Nice one!

  • full board? Nice one!
    I don't think he meant all-you-can-drink.
