They tried to brake the lock which is a Kryptonite New York with the frame. The frame is going to bend before the lock. Not sure if it was the same person who took my saddle or just someone with a 5mm Allen key. Hopefully they got copper grease on their clothes thankfully they left the Campag Crank dust caps. Not insured 😠but I've got a 1980's King of Mercia frame I'm going to put the bits on. The trashed frame was too big for me but she was so responsive and always put a smile on my face when I rode her.
I think it could be repaired new top and down tube, when I go back home I'll get Kevin Winter to have a look. I'll probably put her on eBay as the forks are still good.

Fucking cunts! I hope their balls rot........that's so shit......

Been taking a look at perhaps getting a King of Mercia light tourer and a bit baffled by the top tube lengths on these things by default. For a 62cm frame (with 72 degree angles) the top tube is only 56cm.
That seems awfully short (would expect 58cm or more). Anyone riding around on one like this, or are people mostly custom-speccing the geometry?

I've been lucky enough recently to have done a lot of exploring around Kent, Sussex and a little of Surrey.
The weather has been beautiful for the last few weekends (dare I say a tad too hot at times). -

We still need to do a forum ride/mini tour with some camping thrown in, to the Mercian shop, with our Mercians.......

Why has no one suggested this before!!!........ ;)

Often suggested never done! Do it guys! That will make me happy even if I can non longer attend due to no more Mercian... Do a thread about it and load millions of pictures!
~~ There's a Mercian picture from the 2010 (I think) Tweed Run with a line of 6-8 Mercians and their owners... anyone got that on their hard drive? Should be posted here if it hasn't been done yet ~~
My bad I have it... sorry if repost...

I'm considering putting a deposit down for another Mercian frame. My Audax Special is, I've concluded, a little bit too small unfortunately (gutting). It's done some miles but it's in extremely good nick. How much do you think I'd get for it? It was built in 2009.
Oh look, there it is in the picture above!
