Is it a Sugino ZEN you got, and did you get silver or black?

Thought I bought one but the chap on eBay said he'd already sold it to someone right after I'd paid... Have my money back, just waiting for another to pop up

Some inspiration for you here (in Japan where brekzls is punishable with mad fines ...)
The Nag is near perfect.

Frame has just landed in the UK, found £60 under my bed, just put it in my account towards this
-

Mate, you need a 52t Zen if you're going for 60mm crabon. 48t is for little girls.
-
• #82
For the last time, 53t > 52t is more ways than one...
-
• #83
^^ yeah but he's brakeless, unlike you.

^I've never fitted a brake to the Panasonic, and I've decided I won't do as I am only going to ride it in the dry, on flat(ish) land, so basically no North London loops. Oh and 52/19 is a smaller GI than 48/17 which is what I expect James will ride with?
^^odd numbers are ugly.

JB, son, I am disappoint...
-
• #86
Was thinking 48-14. Going to be riding with a clamp-on, but that's only for when shit hits the fan
-
• #87
p.s, JB was about to buy your wheels then noticed they had sold :(
-
• #88
^^Really? Ouch! Bye bye knees.
^Yeah sorry buddy. They were beautiful.
-
• #89
48-14 I reckon that fan is going to be splattered!
-
• #90
Hmmm, we shall see.
I do have my eye on a 51t, however..
-
• #91
Even if you live somewhere flat I'd go 48/16 at a maximum. 48/14 is proper track gearing. That is huge.
-
• #92
53x19 or 20
-
• #93
How about 50x20?

67 GI, fairly spinny.
I used to ride 51/19 on my Cougar and it was a nice ratio, switched up to 49/18 and have not tried it out properly yet but suspect it will be better as it's slightly higher. 73 GI sounds good on paper.
-
• #95
Whatever chainring/ratio you consider, check skid patches first... you guys....
-
• #96
Hmmm, so much to choose from.
I just want to be able to lock the back wheel up easy. Leicester is fairly flat, so something spinny would be great
-

Put a 53t on. Looks badass, cog tooth count is number of skid patches, 53/19 is a great allround gear and you get the option of slapping a 15t on if you want a man's gear. Sorted.
-
• #98
53x20 is loads of skid patches and nice pub/town gear.... Similar to 47x18...
-
• #99
JB you still got the Panasonic?!?!?

Spec (when I can afford it)
. Dura-ace large flange hubs
. 60mm crabonz rimzJust my 2p but deep rims (i.e. anything +30mm) and high spoke count look silly.... and those are 36h right? I'd definitely go for a sub-24mm high rim. There are still plenty of Chinese carbon offerings that are low profile.
Cheers dude.
Did have plans to paint the other frame with a very unique paint-job but the head-tube angle just scared the shit out of me.
My latest purchases..
