• it fuckin is, I once turned up on my sweet fixei, with riserz and spoke cards and smoked all those fat bastardz, lolz.

  • Warm up, go to start, ride hard for 20 minutes, get off. I can't elaborate further that 10's though, ride hard for 50 minutes?

  • You've just described track racing, crit racing and my commute.

  • You forgot the sprint, coast, sprint, coast, sprint in the middle for crits.

  • I can see sweetspot training being super useful. The defining bonus being the relatively low Level of fatigue.

But I cant see it being the right thing for obtaining an FTP increase.

You dont run half marathons to improve Your 5km pace.

    lol.

  • I did a silly thing and now have a 165mm 110bcd Rotor LT meter that i'm not going to use,

Anyone fancy it before it hits the bay? NIB...

  • I had £400 in mind, but feel free to throw any offers over

  • Decided on a Quarq, would there be any issues with fitting some Rotor No-Q rings?

  • Can't see why. The Riken manual says you don't have to recalibrate after changing chain rings.

  • Which qaurq did you go for? I don't think the riken will take aero no-q rings, the front lugs interrupt the central bezel of the ring,

Non aero rings would be fine though...

  • Here's the pics of my Rotor's,
I should've mentioned they are the LT-R version, so the strain gauges are on the right side, not left.
This means the pod is a bit better protected as the chainrings are in the way.

I'm going to put them on eBay next week, but if a forumer wants them before that let me know!

  • A friend is looking for a power meter he can switch between his TT bike and road bike. He likes the look of the vectors but it appears to get a consistent reading they have to be tightened correctly each time. Anyone more knowledgeable have any thoughts or opinions?

    Thanks

  • I switch my power2max (rotor 3d+) between TT and road (and CX) bikes. Takes about 5mins if you are not changing chain rings.

  • Gone for the Riken R but not aero rings, could go for lighter rings but like how stiff the Rotors are

  • Anyone more knowledgeable have any thoughts or opinions?

Also someone I know is frequently complaining on Strava about his Vectors going wrong or giving poor results on a ride.

  • you'll be fine with aero's if it's 130bcd, but if it's 110 you can only fit the standard rings

  • @iltmimi yeah been on DC page trying to figure out what the deal is with different pedal sizes. They have a large and a small and took a while to figure out what it referred to. What about the stages crank based system? It would be easily switched over and requires little calibration I assume?

    Aaaaarrrghhhh

  • Maybe I should remove 'Stages' from the thread title :)

  • If they were £150 then maybe, but for the money you have loads of options elsewhere for accurate power meters if you go back through this thread. Power2Max I'm a big fan of, and can be swapped very easily with the Rotor 3D option.
