Doesn't look so good value in light of this;

Just a little obvious that someone just finished reading Topham's new book..
-
• #4355
no eu price change though.
-
• #4356
Doh! ;)

Have to say, thus far, the P2M cranks just work. I've not done a detailed comparison with my Powertap data from the same bike but eyeballing they're close enough for a training bike. Now I just need a new set of wheels... what's that @scherrit? Archetypes have arrived at your workshop? Which hubs would I like? Oh, ok then CX Rays if you must..
-
• #4358
True though
-
• #4359
Don't need to tell me about more training. :S
Oh, how I laughed, a dead on the inside, mocking laugh at suggestions to increase 8hrs a week to 10hrs a week...

Yeah my P2M has just worked since the day I got it.
But Jesus those dollar prices are insane! How can they do that. Any sensible british buyer will by from US somehow.

Tops does 12 ya slacker

I might go a race in the States again and get a couple of units delivered to my hotel :)

a couple +1 please.

£824 for the rotor 3d+ and crank!
That's £300 less than buying euro.
P2M sort it out.
-
• #4366
Tell them.
-
• #4367
20% of our price is the VAT don't forget- P2M can't do anything about that.
-
• #4368
They could sell them as takeaway cake.
-
• #4369
AH! That's fair then.
-
• #4370
And in the US you'd be paying a random sales tax depending on whatever state you bought the gizmos in, no?
-
• #4371
Not if you buy them online, in my very limited experience anyway.
-
• #4372
Oh yeah. That.

• #4373
So I'm kinda ready to step up another level on my training...I recall reading this thread that a few people recommended reading some sort of book to determine if you need a power meter? On that note, is the general consensus that p2m/quarq are good? (SRM seem to be pretty pricey!)
Would it be better to take that money and throw it towards a good coach/season program?
-
• #4375
I would buy Powertap, P2M, SRM in that order and probably not bother with others although other racers I know say Qarq are pretty decent.
Depends. Some people get almost no value from a powermeter and would be better off with a coach or training camp. Others, like myself, are very reliant on them now and throw and hissy fit if there's no power data.
UK retail appears to be £699 including the cranks.
