They only have fsa?

It gets into the hub through the carbon windows or the plastic cover I think.
SRMs stop recording as soon as a tiny twig or bit of grit touches their stupid sensors. I'm not sure I used mine long enough to drown it, the piece of shit.
-
• #2879
Yeah you had some shitty SRM. Bad luck. I've used 3 and all have stood up to my hardship.

Fitted mine back onto the bike today, I've used helicopter tape to attach a rare earth magnet to the chainstay - with both magnetism and the power of glue working together the Reed switch should hopefully always fire.

Anyone used aerolab much?
-
• #2882
Yep
-
• #2883
Yeah. What you want to know?
-
• #2884
Just want to check I'm calculating CdA right. Putting in the weather data, temperature corrected crr of 0.05, then sliding CdA until v-elevation matches the elevation curve, then tweaking Eoffset until they match as closely as possible?
-
• #2885
Yeah about right.
Post a screenshot of it once done.
You can't really compare different locations though, only as a rough guide. Really it needs to be the same location to see of changes are helping lower your CdA figure. As the figure you get won't be what a tunnel figure would be. But is good enough for working out if changes are helping.

This is from the F11 today. I'm guessing the disparity between the first and second halves is due to the temperature dropping and headwind finish. I know it's a nonsense CdA, need to get down Palmer Park velodrome and do some testing, picked up a Giro Selector that I need to compare with my Javelin.
-
• #2887
Yeah that isn't a good course to use. Only use it to compare against another run on the same course.
-
• #2888
I have no idea what is being said here. Is this code?

• #2889
I measuring my arros

They're very similar lids. In theory the Selector should be more aero but the difference would be almost unmeasureable I reckon, unless you went down a size or something.

Anyone running a 20h Powertap?
Purchased one at bargain price but now thinking 20h was maybe a bit daft.
Usage will be Turbo training and crit racing. Maybe some good weather road use if suitably stiff. -

I think a lot will depend on the section of the rim you use is - an 808 will be absolutely fine, something like a Nemesis is possibly going to be on the bendy side.
-
• #2893
Also depends a lot on how heavy you are and how smooth your riding is. If you run into every pothole going then it's gonna get wonky quick smart.

Looking at an Archetype or SL42 rim and come in at 69kg
tbh I'm an idiot for not going 32h and using a lighter rim.
-
• #2895
I've been using a 32H Archetype. Seems fine thus far under my lard arse. I do have a larger-than-normal 25mm tyre (comes up 27) on it though. I was even thinking about getting a RalTech cover for it and replacing my 808 setup. Not sure which would actually be faster though.

Switched the hub for a 32h version and have an Archetype in the post.
All in it'll be cheaper than second hand and much less than Stages, happy days (until I find out how sh*t I am).

With the Garmin 800 if you tapped the power button it took you to a screen where you could calibrate a power meter.
This doesn't seem to work with the 810 - is there a shortcut for this unit?
-
• #2898
Does anyone think the 4iiii meter's will actually be any good?
-
• #2899
It stands up well in the dc rainmaker review but I don't think it'll arrive on time and being v1.0 it's a bit of a gamble. I'd say it's a long way from the reaching the UK too.

Agreed. I'll let the early adopters iron out the kinks of that one before I stick my toe in the water.
Fuuuuuuck. I wish I wasn't so skint at the moment. A friend got some (non-matching) Ksyriums for £170 down at Sigma this morning.
